Last year I put a little wind chime (風鈴) next to the window in my living room. You would never have guessed it was 38 degrees with 90% humidity.

Posted in: Italy beats England on penalties to reach Euro 2012 semis See in context

Italy dominated the game, hit the woodwork 2 or 3 times, scored (albeit offside). England's best chance to score was the penalty shootout. Even if we had of won, the Germans would have turned us over easily in the semis. I do like Roy Hodgson though and think he should be judged after the world cup.

Posted in: Norway prosecutors assert that Breivik insane See in context

As we've heard many a time, Norwegian prisons are based around rehabilitation rather than punishment and are viewed as "holiday camps" by some. If one truly wanted to punish Breivik, then perhaps throwing him in a mental institution would be the harshest sentence. A sane man being pumped full of drugs he doesn't need, listening to the screams of the insane day in and day out, will not stay sane for long. I can think of few thing more torturous.

Marijuana should be legalised. Then it can be safely regulated, crime will be reduced, governments receive tax income. Legalisation also means it will be harder for underage kids to get it as you would need ID to buy it in the same way as alcohol and cigarettes. Then people wouldn't have to resort to these man made/chemical "herbs" or bath salts which send people crazy. Legalisation makes lawful and economic sense.

paulinusaJUN. 20, 2012 - 09:08AM JST Why is the center area left blank on some of these guys?

I believe it's because that area is sometimes visible through the space in between the buttons of your shirt.

tjguyJUN. 20, 2012 - 08:31AM JST I'm sorry, but to me that is just plain old ugly!

The subject of tattoos is always going to be divisive but I think they are fantastic.

Anyway this was a good article and anyone interested in Japanese tattoos should really check out more of Horiyoshi's work.
