While only a 4, we had our kits ready up on the 29th floor where it moved us quite a bit. No-one moved though, but to be honest using the stairs would've been dangerous and silly.

All those smartphones, I'd hazard a guess they are all checking their blog or playing pigg-life on Ameba (seems very popular in Japan!)

My wife and her friends probably spend a good 3-4 hours each day on either Ameba or Mixi. It wasn't too bad when it was just on laptop. But now she's spend an extra hour doing the same thing on her phone in bed.

I'm actually amazed to see how obsessed and addicted many Japanese women are to blogging, and especially between these 2 websites alone.

Are foreigners really treated so badly?

I'm English, and looking into possibilities of moving to Japan in a few years, but reading articles like this in several sites, makes me start to wonder what treatment to expect.
