Jeebus Crust….
He posed for some silly photos with some family members in his own house.
Actually that's exactly the point: it is absolutely not his own house.
The Kantei is the official residence and office of the Prime Minister of Japan (as far as I know, kishida's son is not Primer Minister). No Prime Minister "own" the place, they are only allowed to use it during their term.

Japan is a safe country?
Well, it depends on the type of crime doesn’t it?
Shoplifting is a major crime in Japan
If it weren’t then why the large numbers of cameras in shops now?
A quick search on google about shoplifting data regarding Japan is actually on a downward trend since 2008, according to the UN office on drugs and crime. It does not mean it is not a problem, but it is WAY lower than the worldwide average (293 thefts per 100,000 people in Japan vs 783 thefts per 100,000 people on average).
Regarding cameras, and in that case it is indeed just my opinion, I think they are simply there in Japan as a deterrent, and it actually works well as it is. In other countries where physical violence is more prevalent, they are mostly used to actually catch the culprit of a theft, not really as a strong deterrent itself.

Oh my so many frustrated people on this board.
Seriously there are litterally hundreds of articles criticizing these games, and thus without counting COVID-19-related pieces.
This is just some different point of view by the Associated Press that tries to show a little brighter side of these Olympic Games. With everything the world had to face the past year, do we really need to spit on everything, including an article talking about "act of kindness"?
