For people who love outdoor activities, February is the worst. A whole month planning indoor activities.

Pick up skiing/snowboarding.

Another jaw-dropping performance by Ohtani.

Great performance? Yes. Jaw-dropping? Hardly.

Kyle Tucker has 4 2HR games this year.

7 earned runs in 4 1/3. And he plays for the Cubs.

should be in this year's All Star Game. He's on fire.

The Brewers knocked him around pretty good but outside of that he has pitched well.

He is a shoe-in for the All-Star Game.

Advancing the the WC quarters is definitely the next hurdle. The matches vs. S.Korea and China in Asian qualifying are highly entertaining.

Posted in: Climate records keep getting shattered See in context

An air conditioner cannot work when the humidity is very high, because ice accumulates on the evaporator coil and blocks the air flow. Also, no AC would function when the temperature is 70 degrees Celsius. If tress are burning outside your house, you will not be able to use your AC.

It would behoove you to listen to this guy Steve.

Posted in: Japan to build anti-tourist fence at another Mount Fuji viewpoint See in context

I have never understood why people flock to these places to look at high mountains. My awe has never been inspired by such places, I prefer rolling hills and pastures to see, but woud not travel travel thousands of miles to do so. In the little county where I live with my girlfriend in the UK, there are many places like this, along with narrow winding roads.

Interesting. Thanks for sharing.

I am a realist. We still need to generate power from fossil fuels and in some countries nuclear energy. But we should also be working to make full use of renewables.
