As a long-time metal fan and fan of Japanese culture in general, I have to say that I'm OK with Babymetal. The jams are spectacular. While the world is well aware that J-Pop/Idol groups are manufactured, gotta admit that this one breaks the mold. Takes sugary sweet Idol imagery and blends it with the darkest metal has to offer, and the result is pretty striking. Looking forward to seeing them perform live. Hopefully, they bring the actual band and not the "mime band."
