So instead of working 95 hours in 6 days, you will be expected to work 95 hours in 4 days. Sounds like the perfect solution.

Any amount of time in a Japanese Prison is really tough for those of you that think it is not. Do your research and read a Japanese Prison handbook. It is wild!

As I said before. Simple Solution for a start: Pay Women equal wages as a man. Don't oust woman from a company or hiring process because they "may" have a family later. Pay higher wages to ALL.

Posted in: Japanese government plans to pay women who move out of Tokyo to get married ¥600,000 See in context

Japan's solution to every problem: Throw money at it!

Forget about trying to find the root cause: Women not getting the same wages as men, Women not being able to get hired at a company due to the companies fear of her wanting to become a mother, Low Paying wages, and prices rising.

What Ogi-san came up with the idea that having women move from Tokyo will increase the birthrate?

Posted in: Man arrested for groping girl on subway, spraying bodily fluid on her See in context

would tell my future daughter to use self defense by ramming her knee to the nutsack region to ensure the perp never breeds. Then she can go to the koban to report on the wheeping man on the floor.

This, 100%! Kick first, ask questions later!

I am sure this happen alot in the past, and now people are really starting to report it so cases look on the rise. I have taught my daughter if someone touches her to scream and cause a massive scene.

I just looked at the live Radar. The strom stretches from Fukuoka to Hiroshima. They are getting hammered with rain. I am not sure why Tokyo is "Big News" when the Radar shows there is not much rain.

The younger the better, Go Mr. Koizumi Go. Best of luck sir.

This is true, however with the "grey population", a young person will never win. With age comes the most experience and wisdom, says my Japanese father in law who has no education, was always poor, and had questionable jobs.

Posted in: Japanese gov't appeals for calm as panic rice buying continues See in context

Why are people buying up the rice? If there is a earthquake and power is lost, and water pipes are broke how do they plan to make rice? If power is gone and the rice is made ahead of time and is in the freezer until needed, the rice will go bad quickly once the power is gone. Am I missing something?

Easier to just admit guilt in this. Otherwise he is looking at 23 days confinement for each charge. 23 Days, let go, re-arrest, 23 days, let go, re-arrest, 23 days, let go, re-arrest...then wait for court. I am sure in this case he will pay a fine and be let go.

Yokohama has a massive public transportation system. At 87 there is no reason to be driving in a city that has efficient public transportation. When I get old and no longer drive I am moving to the city.

Posted in: Man in wheelchair killed after being hit by truck Chiba; driver arrested See in context

One of my biggest fears is hitting another pedestrian in Japan. Sometimes I ask myself if having a jacked up SUV is a good choice. I do find myself extra extra careful when driving. I do not want to injure anyone. If anything was to ever happen by accident, I would take full responsibility. No "I don't remember" or "My breaks didn't work" coming from me.

When I was young I was hit by a car. I survived, by the grace of God. The driver was sentenced to prison, where he died.

I know he made a mistake that is why it is called an accident. He didn't do it on purpose, but he had to be held accountable. I believe we have to be held accountable for our actions.

Sad. This is why I teach my kids at a young age to share their feelings, and give their opinions. When you bottle it all up inside eventually you will explode...I know the Japanese way is to not show feelings, but we are raising out children to express so they have a long healthy life.
