In response to some of the comments above: if one can afford, who doesn't want expensive, qualitty stuff (or even branded). But not everyone is that fortunate to be able to afford. Most importantly is a person is cleanly and neatly dressed. Wearing inexpensive clothings will not make a person look cheap. Wearing expensive clothings will not necessary make one look classy either.

sorry to digress, but did the photographer lost focus while taking this picture? cos' the posters at the back took up 35% of the photo, and looking at the smaller version, i almost thought they are protesting against pretty young boys...

well done team! I seriously thought they done a great job. being a fellow asian, i am happy for them. great to see the asians have come so far. haha... come to think of it, my country will probably never qualify for the world cup, well..probably 100 years later where the rest of the world is no longer interested in soccer. lol

actually... before we jump into conclusion to say this is a wasteful move, why not think further? there are tourist who would travel to japan during their hanabi fest to soak into the atmosphere.. this could be part of their tourist-drawing event. the same goes for Hong Kong vibrantly lit up city... many people see it as waste of energy, but Hong Kong depends partly of this to draw in the tourist to see its beautiful night lights..

I almost thought it was a picture taken from Singapore's weekday morning train ... exactly the same lifeless face, smelly salaryman, inconsiderate people who sometime refuse to move in further, and don't forget we have weather that is average 30 degree celsius all year round, passengers are dripping with perspiration, some people who just forget to brush their teeth early in the morning and are yawning with their mouth wide open, trains that can take up to 5mins to come during office peak hours, trains that can stall in between stations for few minutes "due to technical fault"...etc etc

Oh and I once broke the record of only being able to get onto a train on the fifth train that came... during peak hours...

guess if I were to move to tokyo, it will not take me any effort to get use to their train system... ha!

hirosue's dress is the mirror opposite of nakama's dress.. nakama is definitely the worst dressed. i think suzuki's dress is the best among the worst, as least it is a normal dress.

come on people, lighten up.. the fact that this article is found under the 'entertainment' section, means it is silly for one to take it too seriously.. so what if the survey seemed pointless.. it is meant to be an Entertainment, so just read and enjoy! anyway i would be glad to have a boss like Amami Yuki.. i will not be afraid to approach her when i have problems.. she seems like an understanding person who is open to ideas..

Hey.. to "The Rat": Please cool down...so sorry if u mistaken my intention.. i din mean to express my comment as a wat so-called war story.. cos' in the first place i sincerely thought wat i earned then and the whole working experience was fun and i have (i swear) nothing to complain at all. i was just trying to make a contrast that sometime people need to put in effort and hard work to earn that money. so in the case of these gals, they are definitely earning quite a satisfying sum of money as a retail store personnel... so.. i was just wondering.. are they complaining cos they are too use to the comfort they are always receiving? just like a roadsweeper have to bear with nasty working condition and walk miles to sweep the streets; a dish-washing worker has to cramp around dirty basins to wash dishes for hours... if everyone wants to complain, then the complain will go on non-stop... at least these gals have a job, isnt it? esp in japan's employment situation, of wat i heard, it is not easy getting a job there....

PS:I'm not trying to strike a commentary war here, just wondering out loud after reading the article. My sincere apology for any false intention

but i guess at least these gals are paid well as a retail sales personnel.. i used to work at a retail store during school vacation, and was paid around 3usd/hr... and we have no time to 'stretch out', not even to mention if such a place (a so-called 'stretch out place') exist
