I'll echo what everyone else has. 1.6% is ridiculous. I go to the quick cut salons, they went from 1,000 to 1,350 in the past couple years. Is that 2%? My go to milk went up 30yen, onigiri 25yen, chu hi 20yen, etc.

Jizimo

Every actually played sports? Or are you a fat shite sunday footballer? You can easily check the box score and recap of that U15 Dallas v USWNT game. Men are just so far ahead of women in sports. The best high school boys basketball teams literally run the women off the court. I'd watch the women's WC but there is a junior high soccer match that's more competitive and high level

Whilst still not being able to use debit or credit cards to buy subway or train tickets. Japan keep on sliding.

And here come the landslide reports. Maybe if Japan didn't cover every available sq meter in concrete it wouldn't be such a problem. I lived in Taiwan for years and we had rain like this for days on end but was never much of a problem. Half a day here and cities are inundated.

Do yourself a favor, stay on that shinkansen from Tokyo until Kyoto. Nagoya is a boring city w no world class sights at all, unfriendly people, and big wide roads which aren't great for bikes or walking.

You guys don't understand. this isn't a top.of list or anything of that sort, it's a random list of places people never thought to visit. They do it every year so of course it's not gonna be Paris, Tokyo, HK on the list.

Rainyday,

Look at a map of the subway and train system of Osaka and Nagoya. Osaka is so much better covered. There are entire areas in Nagoya city that are 15 to 20min walks from the nearest station, especially out east towards fujigaoka

Live in Nagoya, can confirm it's a boring unfriendly city that is based on cars. This is actually in Nagakute city which is outside Nagoya. From Nagoya station you need to take the subway to the end of the line then transfer to the slow, once every 10mins, expensive Linimo train. Will take about 1hr and about 900¥ one way.

Hopefully this will finally allow the mother and family some closure and the chance to move on in life. Although I read on Japanese news sites the mother believes DNA testing isn't fully conclusive so there's a chance she will still see her daughter again. Unfortunately I don't think the mother will ever accept the reality and move forward w her life.

Disney is evil. I just had a son and I will do my best to not get sucked into the Disney world. I'm not worried. Never spent a dime on any Disney crap. Feel bad for the hard working salary men in this country whose wives and children drop thousands of their hard earned dollars down the overpriced Disney drain.

This is a more twisted depraved cry for help or attention similar to teenage girls slashing arms. He didn't really want to kill people, just hurt them and get noticed. There's no way he could have failed to killed anyone on a packed car w a knife.

I thought there was more coverage on the internet and in the newspaper for the Paralympics than the actual Olympics. Perhaps I'm biased, but I couldn't care less about the Paralympics. It's the same reason I don't watch high school sports, pro women sports, or learn Japanese from junior high kids.

I'd say the only thing Tokyo beats Seoul in is weather and that's just barely. Seoul is way more energetic, lively, lots of things for young people (not old people like Japan) , cheaper living costs, better transport, and more friendly locals w a better grasp of English.
