Posted in: Trump is 'unfit,' Obama says, challenging GOP to end support for him See in context

For better or worse, Trump will probably win in November. Most people hate him but a lot do love him, and they'll come out and vote for him. I don't think Hillary can motivate people to come out and vote for her. A lot of democrats are going to stay at home or vote independent (or vote Trump even).

Woah, how totally expected! I seem to remember him being "nearly finished" with the last two novels about 10 years ago, when "A Feast For Crows" was released...

These kids have been on Japanese tv shows for the past several years. I've never seen them lose a dance competition.

Ah bonuses. They seem to exist just to keep hourly pay low so that companies can get cheap overtime labor.

Uhh guys this is investment, as in it should turn a profit. Why automatically assume it's just a waste of tax money?

To the animal rights people, it's not a zoo really, the monkeys live on the mountain and come down to eat and watch the goofy tourists whenever they feel like it.

Posted in: Japan launches new satellite to survey disasters See in context

This is not a spy satellite, it's for disaster and environmental (forest, glaciers, land deformation, etc) monitoring mainly. They dont release specs for spy satellites. The images are all available to the public (but not free unfortunately).

Posted in: U.N. author says draft climate report alarmist; pulls out of team in Yokohama See in context

The doom and gloom stuff about climate change is already known. Don't even need to read the new report to know what it says lol. Why not focus more on what can be done to adapt? Seems like his idea is more useful than just preaching to the choir again and again.
