Posted in: Trump is 'unfit,' Obama says, challenging GOP to end support for him See in context

and obama says this while he protects a criminal. obviously comey laid out the evidence and refused to recommend indictment of hilary under the statute that requires "intent", he says nothing about the statutes that do not require intent. obviously he was ordered not recommend and was covering his ass.

the whole electoral college thing is a farce to rig elections to come out like the politicians want it to come out anyway.

Posted in: What do you think of Japan's health insurance system? See in context

the problem is that insurance only pays for approved treatments which are quite old tech. if you want the latest greatest, insurance pays nothing.

while the individual athletes may or may not deserve to be punished (they are responsible for what they put in their own bodies), what other punishment is there when the cheating is state sponsored?

paying the fine is like paying traffic tickets or taxes, governments have guns so its always pay first then prove that you didn't own it.

japanese morals have declined cause they have to compete with the koreans!

that being said, korean cars are quite good nowadays.

Posted in: Please don’t forget that a bicycle is a dangerous vehicle that can harm people. See in context

sorry but cycles are not pedestrians and do not belong in pedestrian space. they are vehicles and belong on the road and should be subject to all rules of the road, i.e. stopping at lights, not using keitai, not going against flow of traffic, tickets for violations.

and how much of this wasted by this official at the tokyo metropolitan government committee? would save a lot of money if they offered voting by internet. they have "my number" in place so you just limit one vote to each "my number"

politicians are still living in the bubble era while the people have been living with recession for the last 20 years. small wonder people are pissed off. and this is just the spending that they found out about. who knows what else he's hiding.

in the end, the anti-stalking laws will not protect you, the police will not protect you, they may be a deterrent but if you are actually being attacked, the only one that can protect you is you.

Posted in: Win or lose, Trump could cause a recession See in context

trump would not be the "cause". what he is a sign of is the distrust of professional politicians. they are the cause. they continue to borrow with no intent of paying back.

the question is "who are considered the wealthy"? I believe most people would agree $1mm+ household income is wealthyt but how about $500k? i believe that its $250k combined household income right now which allows for a decent life but not what i would consider wealthy.

Posted in: Do you consider global warming just a theory or a proven fact? See in context

that there is climate change is fact but notice that they are now calling it climate change instead of global warming? the question is whether its man made and that we can actually do anything about it. the peat fires in indonesia put out more CO2 than the entire US economy.and volcanos release 200 million tons annually.

Posted in: Do you consider global warming just a theory or a proven fact? See in context

man made global warming is not proven. there are arguments for and against. no slam dunk. the problem is that the politicians are running with it in order to squeeze out more tax money.
