Woman miscarries and Larry Flynt wants to know what about the fathers! Absolutely terrible. What about them? Are they in physical danger? Extreme pain? No. I miscarried in Japan 21 years ago and was treated like trash. I was heartbroken, my husband at work and couldn't get away, and the doctor was callous and cruel to me. What about the father? It is barely registering on the scale compared to the actual mother who is losing her baby.

Ohtani isn't just a slugger - that is the entire point. He pitches at an elite level and he also hits. The man is an amazing athlete.

Bonds still made hard contact on that ball, it just went a bit further. He would have been great without the juice. For those above who don't understand baseball, at least 10 HR and 10 wins is rare because pitchers cannot bat very well usually. If they are a pitcher, they are not picking up a bat and making good contact with the ball. Ohtani is a rare 2 way player - he pitches and he also hits really well. The only other player comparable is Babe Ruth.

Ohtani is amazing, but he needs to get away from the Angels and to the Yankees if he wants to win.

It is not only the children that died, the poor mothers seem to have been murdered by their male family members too. Their lives mattered too. Men have a violence problem.

Of course they are a threat to Japan. They are a threat to the entire world.

Absolutely disgusting. Poor Japan is going to end up as fat as the USA at this rate.

Posted in: Do you consider the A-bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki to be war crimes? See in context

Pearl Harbor killed military not civilians, not non combatants, including children. Pearl Harbor did not cause generational health problems, or burns that never healed. Pearl Harbor was war, the A bombs were a war crime. The suffering caused from nuclear bombs, the horrendous deaths, that did not discriminate between children and adults, old from young, women from combatant men, the death of every living thing, the babies born with malformations, is not comparable to a brilliant sneak attack by the Japanese on the USA. The Japanese were on the wrong side, but there is no justification for nuking Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Posted in: Do you consider the A-bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki to be war crimes? See in context

Yes, absolutely war crimes. Those nukes should never have been dropped on anyone, let alone a Japan that was ready to surrender. It was an experiment on people who were seen as the USA as less than human. Unforgivable.

They didn't have to drop those bombs, voiceofOkinawa, I totally agree with you. Yet two bombs were dropped on Japan, but not on the white Germans. They just wanted to test out their new weapons. It was a war crime.

Japan would have surrendered without vast suffering of civilians, including children, and generational trauma and health issues. You cannot justify the nuclear bombing of Japan by saying it was better for the Japanese, that would be wrong and crass. But then, that doesn't seem to bother you.

Posted in: Japan to roll out Omicron-targeted COVID vaccine as early as October See in context

I have not had a single vaccine, nor has my family. I do not intend to ever accept vaccination. I mask up and distance to a certain extent. They don't stop transmission or infection. In an unscientific observation of my vaxxed friends, they all have had it multiple times. I had it only once and mildly before the vaxx was available.

The nuclear bombings at Hiroshima and Nagasaki were a heinous war crime. I cannot believe that to justify nuking women and children, someone with an interest in Japan thinks that it is acceptable to say that 'women and children would have been charging with spears.' Seriously, messed up thinking. Those weapons did not need to be used, Japan was on its knees, and conventional weapons against soldiers would have sufficed. Have people no soul left at all?

Just how do you expect ten year old girls to escape pregnancy when they are being abused? How about rape victims? How about failure of contraception? To be frank no one wants the messed up religious beliefs of the few imposed on their bodies. Y'all Qaeda and Vanilla Isis members don't need to have abortions if they don't want them, but have no right imposing their views on others.

The vaxx does not stop transmission or infection. All my vaxxed friends have had multiple bouts of covid, and some of them have had serious symptoms. There is no social benefit to taking the vaxx because the vaccinated transmit and get infected too. I will never risk those side effects and nor will my child.

Surprise surprise, Newgirlintown defending the patriarchy. I guess you like pleasing men and feel safer for doing so. The article lists women and children as lesser victims than the men, which were the final straw.

The study was about how women find it hard to do both the bulk of the childcare and rearing that falls upon them and also go to work in Japan where child care/hoikuen is regimented and difficult, not to mention expensive. Why ask men? They have it easy. Honestly this 'pick me' cool girl thing is irritating to say the least.

I have not had a single shot, but wear a mask and gloves and keep away from people. I will never get one of these useless dangerous shots. They don't work, there have been many side effects, and my vaxxed friends have all got sick multiple times. I had covid very mildly towards the start of the pandemic in Feb 2020.
