The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan led to the US borrowing more than a trillion dollar to China. Besides the international trouble & basic human rights trouble, I doubt adding to the debt by starting a new war will be such a urge for the US in the near future, and it will definitely not kick start the economy but only add to its problems.

If the guy actually proves to have mental issues, how could he have access to guns ? Even if he was sane (well, as sane as you can be when you shoot people), he's an example of why i'm pro gun-control:
When people snap (and people snap everyday and everywhere), I'd rather the only thing that comes to their hand is a stapler or even a knife and not a gun, whatever the type of it.

"U.S. officials in Washington say other countries have curtailed their dealings with the U.S. government because of WikiLeaks’ actions."
No. Other countries have curtailed their dealings with the US gov because of US gov action, which was revealed by Wikileaks. Quite a difference, if you ask me.

“On the Meguro line that serves Sensoku and Ookayama, there are lots of affluent elderly people of large stature, and they can be quite annoying,” says a regular user. “On three occasions I’ve seen them blow up at nearby passengers, saying ‘I’m wearing a pacemaker, so don’t use your cell phone around me!’”
This guy is basically saying people with pacemaker are a nuisance to his little commuting habits. Wow.

I'm seeing iPad style tablets in all seats soon, even economy class, cause that will soon be cheaper than the "entertainment system" already in place.
So game & movies & news on the iPad instead of (most of the time) crapy screen.
Wouldn't do on Emirates, though, they have a kickarse system even for eco !

On related news, Prime Minister Wen says basically the same stuff as Liu, on CNN. "I believe freedom of speech is indispensable for any country ... I often say that we should not only let people have the freedom of speech. We, more importantly, must create conditions to let them criticize the work of the government," he said.
And I actually believe he is sincere. So the question is : will he get purged, or is change actually possible.

Google check results don't mean something is true. Before it was the JMSDF flag, it used to be the Imperial Japanese Navy flag. The same kind of pattern of a rising sun flag exist for other uses too. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rising_Sun_Flag
It is still considered a sign of militarist and imperialist Japan in most neighboring countries, though, and used to be forbidden during the American occupation.
