OpenAI is facing a barrage of lawsuits over copyright infringements...

But still they can freely operate without facing any issues. Why? Because of this:

OpenAI has projected its annual revenue could exceed $12.7 billion in 2025, up from $3.7 billion expected this year.

Posted in: Does 'vibe coding' make everyone a programmer? See in context

The coding must be great if the answer is "..and it mostly works." Debugging will be fun because of prompt engineering. Asking AI to debug the bad code it generated in the hope it will create a cleaner code. The developer will lose the ability to code and fully depend on AI. Fantastic!

If it wasn't for Pres. Trump this trip wouldn't happen, this Pres. is shaking the core of the global foundation.

Of course, the two countries never talk to each other, only since President Trump. :-)

That is drastic. Seems that they really dislike the tourists now.

It's not that they dislike them, but there are far too many of them. Pushing prices up is a wise choice, even if losing some tourists. But the majority will still stay a couple of nights, believe me that.

Falling milk prices last year also discouraged investments and pushed dairy producers in the EU to make more cheese, which offered better profitability, he said.

So it's the market itself that changes things, it's not that there are actual shortages.

I think I would even go as high as 10'000 Yen. To climb the Mount Fuji shouldn't be a tourist attraction anyways.

Posted in: OpenAI's legal battle with Elon Musk reveals internal turmoil over avoiding AI 'dictatorship' See in context

OpenAI should never be allowed to go public. Most people think of ChatGPT and Sora of just tools. The CEO talks about unleashing creativity. What creativity? The creativity to give instructions? OpenAI will bring destruction and you will pay for it if you want it or not. If you thought Facebook was addictive, then watch the addiction if they make their products when going public. But wait, you can't watch because you will be an addict yourself. You'll be a tool.

AI is totally overhyped. With the tech companies over-spending billions with no significant returns they are in fact creating a bubble that might soon burst.

Its assets included a $10 million loan

And how about the assets on the internet? Without all the content they couldn't even get half as far as they did today. And they now shall reap all the future profits while all others shall get nothing? These people are crooks!

The number one reason why tech companies want things like these to happen is because of the money they can generate from it. They will sell it as if it's for improving our lives but what it really does is making creative artists obsolete and make them rely on such technologies. Thus making them future customers of the tech companies to generate more income. Most people forget that we are not anymore in the tech era of before when things were about real improvement. We are now in the new era, where it is about generating as much money as possible and manipulating people's minds. If people are not careful enough, soon they will find themselfs trapped.

Posted in: Better train etiquette in Japan: Tips for tourists to ride like a local See in context

I am a foreigner myself in Japan and I agree that many tourists just don't care about Japanese etiquette. Even though they know it they still talk loudly and do whatever they want. I can see it all too often. If you visit another country you have to adjust to the culture. These are basic rules no matter which country you visit in the world.

Agree with Mu-da-san. I went to a Starbucks a few days ago because a business client wanted to meet there. The coffee is terrible. The sandwiches and doughnuts were tiny and looked as if they had been in the showcase for a couple of days. And it's all very expensive.

Don't exaggerate. We get it you don't like Starbucks.
