Yeah, there's no "gorgeous nature" anywhere Nishinomiya Kitaguchi. I think they're mistakenly referring to the area north and west of it around the borders of Takarazuka and Ashiya which have lots of hilly trails and parks at the foot of the Rokko Mtns.

Yeah, this would be the same as saying there is gorgeous nature near Umeda because Mino is only about a twenty-five minute car ride away.

Where is the gorgeous nature near Nishinomiya, Kitaguchi? Having worked many years in Nishinomiya,, this is a head scracher.

America spends billions on Homeland Security and spends its resources finding out better ways to spy on everybody. It should spend more on health care and medical research. Also provide better health laws to protect people. Right now millions of working Americans have no paid sick leaves. Many people have to go to work sick in order to provide for their family.

I bet a great deal of truant students are high functioning autistic children. Most aren't getting any help at schools and mental health care is seriously lacking in this country. The city that I work for the special needs teachers have almost zero training in special needs. Most of the teachers needs teachers are either near retirement or deemed not worthy enough to teach and guide a normal homeroom class. The special needs aids that tag along autistic students that need help in normal class, they too have no training in special needs. Most are former teachers that quit early in the teaching career to raise a family

Truancy is not taking seriously in this country. Truants regularly can graduate till the next grade without going to school. Students understand very quickly that you don't have to do anything or even show up and you will still go on to the next grade. Teachers love that students that cause more work for them are staying at home. Schools also benifit from having truant students because they will have a bigger budget with less students.

This morning in Osaka I was riding my bike and a taxi cuts me off trying to pick up a ride. He parked at 45 degree angle and I couldn't pass him on his left because there was no room. I then went behind him to try to pass him on his right and right when I am directly behind him he starts backing up. I scream to tell him I was there. He starts talking with the guy he trying to pick up. The guy the seeing the drivers erratic driving refuses to get in. The diver must have been over 80 years old.

Same age as Mr.Tsunogai, RIP. In my youth I have biked across America and across Japan (Nagaga to Itoigawa, Niigata in a day!) I have ridden through my share of tunnels here, and I am afraid to death of them. I often got off my bike and walked with bike between myself and the road. Japan has some beautiful country side, but to find an area with good cycling without tunnels is getting harder and harder. This is one of the reason I stopped multi-day touring in Japan. In the pass 10 years or so, there has a big boon in road cycling, so as a car driver when I go through a tunnel I drive thinking that there could be a much slower cyclist ahead.

TB12 played great. He saw what the Chiefs were doing on defense and audibling into better plays. What makes Brady great is the stuff he does before the snap.

I adopted our chihuahua from ARK, an animal refuge agency in Kansai. His previous owner passed away owning five other dogs. All of them got adopted. The owner must have trained our dog very well, he is so well behaved and he hardly ever barks. If you ever want a pet in Japan, check out ARK.

How much whale meat do Japanese actually eat? From what I've read its minuscule these days so resuming whaling offers little other than employment for what, a few hundred people at the most?

Seems to be very little gain.

The school system that I work for has whale meat on their lunch menu about 2 or three times a year. It is a city of close to a half of a million people. I am sure there are many other cities and towns that feed their students whale. I bet schools are the biggest consumers, students being captive consumers.

I wonder if the crew were covering for each other? Who usually test the pilots?

Lets see.... pretty much other than Nomo, and that was decades ago, all of Japan's top "postings", have been a disappointment. Especially when you factor in the massive amount of money that was forked over to the posting team.

I don't think Nomo was posted, he found a loop hole, by retiring in the NBL, then joined the Dodgers.

Ichiro was posted and he will probably be the first Japanese player to be inshrined into the HOF in the States.

Matsuzaka in his first year helped the Red Sox with their first World Series in 89 years. Overall, he had a so-so career with the Sox, but what he did to help win the World Series was worth the posting fee in most Sox fans' eyes

I bring my two kids home to America each year.. We always plan to visit Canobie Lake, our local amusement park on a Monday night. For most rides, there are no lines. My children loved it more than Tokyo Disneyland.

Twenty minutes from their grandpararent's house and it doesn't cost a fortune.

In my home state in America this year, a criminal on parole struck and knocked out a police officer with a stone. He took the officers gun and killed him and shot another women.

So, a stone can be deadly.

Mino Park is great place to visit any season. Very easy to get to from Osaka Station via the Hankyu line. If you have more time to explore, there are more trails that are beyond the waterfalls.

A Chinese or a Korean company should come up with a TV that blocks NHK and make it impossible to receive their signal. I would buy one.

Why should people with mental disorders get a discount?

As a father of a pre-teen daughter who is autistic,　I am frightened for her future. My daughter can seem normal about 70% of the day and does well in school when she goes... mostly all A's.. But there are times that she gets all stressed out and her anxieties take over. I wonder what job she can handle a job when she gets to working age, Don't you think people with mental disorders have a harder time find good paying jobs??

I think there is a huge stigma of adopting children or putting children up for adoption in Japan. This women's Showa era views only adds to it. In the site, how many times do we read about children getting abused, or how many babies are being aborted by young girls who think that is the only option. If Japan had better views on adoption, there would be more children in loving family, both straight and non-traditional. I'm sure an aported fetus or that cute girl who was starved to death a few weeks ago wouldn't mind growing up in a loving LGBT family.

Also, if a lesbian couple wants children, there iis a higher chance that they can be mothers than a straight couple.

BTW, I did my part, father of two girls.

If he is 16 he probably graduated in March of this year and decided not to enter high school. So, he isn't a high school student. In Japan, after graduating from JHS, you are free to stop your education and start working. I bet he has been taking English lessons since he graduated JHS.

Japanese high school coaches are known for burning up their young pitches. I am sure the Royals will help him develop in away that is best for his future, plus I am sure he got a huge life changing signing bonus.

Nice to see that young elite Japanese athletes have more choices. I am sure that Japanese high school coaches and pro teams are not happy by this signing. A pro team will miss the chance to sell his rights to a Major league team in a few years.

Good job soccer team, hopefully this will spread to other parts of Japan. My neighborhood in Osaka is inundated by discarded plastic wrappers and pet bottles. After a heavy rain, you can see hundreds of plastic bottles floating down the Okawa-river.

I can imagine that locker rooms in the States after a game being a pigsty. Many athletes had pampered upbringings, and could get away with anything growing up. Cleaning to these people is beneath them.

I bet most people who responded with a "yes", did it overseas. I know a quite a few friends who tried them overseas, but don't use them in Japan.

My daughter played one time at a local mall, and she grabbed a big Snoopy stuffed doll on her first try. I think the game was 300 yen to play, I doubt the Snoopy cost more than 100 yen to buy in bulk.

I wonder why taking a knee is considered very rude during the anthem. When a football player gets injured badly in the field, don't players from both teams take a knee to pray for their fallen NFL comrade.. This is a way of showing respect and care. When Colin Kaepernick first sat on the bench for the anthem, he got a lot of criticism. Maybe, with all the social injustices that African-Americans people have to endure, he thought America was "injured" and took a knee to pray that it gets better.

A few years back , a kindergarten classmate of my daughter drowned at a beach. After collecting the body from the hospital, the family had to drive back to where they lived. I can't imagine driving a car in this situation.

Japanese shouldn't play football. This sport is not meant for players weighing less than 250 lbs minimum, and almost no Japanese player weigh that much.

Do you know anything about football? Most non- lineman are under 250 lbs. I guess Tom Brady (225 pounds), Julio Jones (225) , Wes Welker (185), Darrelle Revis (198) Lawrence Taylor (235) should have never laced up cleats. Brady and Taylor are probably the greatest offensive and defensive players respectively.

About the late hit. Japan does not have much of a football culture. Growing up in the States, I remember seeing in the news about HS, college and Pro players getting life altering injuries. Maybe players don't realize how dangerous of a sport they are playing. That hit was unthinkable in the States. The opposing coach should have yanked his players from the game.

Before it was an Expo, I used to go mountain biking in that forest. It was a beautiful place that was easy to get from Nagoya. Lot's of people enjoyed hiking there, too. It was a quiet place, I was so sad to see how it came out. I wish they returned the land to its original state. I don't think Japan needs more amusement parks.

I got our dog at ARK, an animal rescue shelter in Osaka. I highly recommend them, They have a web page and you can see what dogs are available. Many people travel far distances to adopt their animals.

In order to adopt, you first must pass an interview. The staff listened very carefully to our situation and recommended our dog to us. He is an older dog, whose first owner died. and he is a perfect fit to our family.

This is what they say about pet shop dogs... many times they are cast offs from breeders, they keep the best dogs to themselves to sell. they are taken away from their mother and siblings too young which results in bad immunity and poor social skills, which result psychologically damaged adults and also prone to health issues.

What a weird country, drink driving a no no, hording military grade weapons OK.

What I like about Japan is you can have an open beer in the park or street, but in most places in the US it is not allowed. But it many places in the US you are allowed to walk around with your military grade weapon..

My brother died waiting for a kidney match in the States. I think this will only encourage more foreigners coming to the States for surgery at the expensive of the locals. Japan should use this money to encourage transplant donation by its own citizens.
