Posted in: Japan to lift entry ban on travelers from 9 countries, regions; exempt returning residents from quarantine See in context

@wanderlust

Taiwan - no new infections for around 200 days - how long will that last if they open for travel? They should retain a quarantine for inbound travelers and test.

August 1 - Taiwan reports 7 new COVID-19 cases, including possible domestic case

https://focustaiwan.tw/society/202008010009

August 5 - Japanese man confirmed to have COVID-19 after returning to Japan from Taiwan; CECC launches investigation

https://www.cdc.gov.tw/En/Bulletin/Detail/NlfIMFokZqJqsjGciCMMVw?typeid=158

Sept 23 - 18 Filipinos, 1 Japanese confirmed with COVID-19 after leaving Taiwan

https://focustaiwan.tw/society/202009230020

Oct 14 - 3 Japanese test positive for coronavirus after returning from Taiwan

Certainly doesn't look like no new infections for 200 days to me.

With Trump seated in the front row at the nondenominational International Church of Las Vegas, the senior associate pastor, Denise Goulet, said God told her the president is the apple of his eye and would secure a second term.

“At 4:30, the Lord said to me, ‘I am going to give your president a second win,’” she said, telling Trump, “you will be the president again.”

Why is such lies be allowed in the name of God? same with those muslim priest, buddhist monks..etc who claims to be messenger of God.

Funny people like Pompeo keep saying we should support Vietnam and end communist China. Well, Vietnam is a communist country too? And Russia is a democratic nation. CIA double standards at it best, we lie we cheat we steal.

Posted in: Suga, in talks with Xi, says stable Japan-China ties key to region See in context

Dear Akie

I would counter your argument and say that China has been the one to allow a dispute to happen in the first place.

Japan is not using the Senkaku Islands, we don't have any buildings there, no Japanese lives there, we don't extract resources, USA gave Senkaku to Japan in the 80s. China should have talked to America, complain to them about that island. China never did.

India did not start the problems with China either, CCP was the one aggressive towards India. If China is smart you should realize you share a border with India, they have 1 billion people which you need for your economy to keep going, especially now when your fighting with America.

Dear ReasonandWisdomNippon,

I would like to point out there is some mistakes on your argument.

China (PRC) and Taiwan (ROC) both objected USA for handing over the Senkaku Islands to Japan. Source: Senkaku Islands, Wikipedia.

India was the one who started the problem. It was the Indian troops that invaded Chinese territory. "China did not enter our territory, no post taken." Quote India's PM Narendra Modi. Source: hindustantimes and BBC.

Also, why would China want to clash with India when they have so much direct investments there? China investments in India up 12 times from USD381 million in 2016 to USD4.6 billion in 2019, source Indiatimes.

If he robbed a bodybuilder instead would it justify his actions? If he’s going to target a person who looks stronger than him, he would use a weapon and lives might be lost.

TBS reported on Friday, citing unnamed Japanese government sources.

I’m fed up with half baked news citing “unnamed sources”. Show the name of the person who says it or it’s made up convenient fake news.

Which Chinese official threaten Japan? Did TBS verify with the Chinese Embassy?

Which Japanese government sources? Japan foreign affairs somehow avoided comment?

Long-term, shifting production to a stable, peaceful, Japan-loving nation like Vietnam - where wages and costs are cheaper than PRC - is a smart move. Far too many risks having so much production in Communist PRC.

Last time I checked, Vietnam is still a communist country. No such risk?

"Today we're finally realizing the degree to which the Chinese Communist Party is truly hostile to the United States and our values," Pompeo told the conservative Hudson Institute in New York.

Pompeo highlighted China's clampdown on Hong Kong protests and incarceration of Uighur Muslims and said Beijing was seeking international domination -- implicitly rejecting US experts who argue that the communist leaders are fundamentally pragmatic.

politicians nowadays talked thru their axx. In the first paragraph, he says the Chinese are hostile towards the US, then gives examples in Hong Kong and Uighur. Hong Kong and Uighur doesn’t belongs to US?

Where’s the freedom in Liberia, Venezuela, Catalonia...? We have too much politicians without morals in power, that why the world are so messed up.

Same situation as Dictatorial Spanish govt must leave Catalonians alone to live freely and democratically. The people of Catalonia have voted for independence.

I wonder why the US representatives doesn't pass a law supporting the Catalonians? where is the democracy in Spain?

Kelly was scheduled to have surgery on Dec 7 in Nashville, Tennessee, but flew to Japan last month after being told that he was needed in person at a board meeting, Dee Kelly said in the video. Kelly was arrested after his car was stopped on the expressway soon after his arrival.

Wow, just like copied straight out from a drama script. Someone in Nissan Japan is plotting a revolt then tricked Ghosn and Kelly to attend a meeting and pre-arranged the police to arrest them upon arrival in Japan, because he knows he can’t do anything to Ghosn when he is abroad. Did they bribe the politicians and police to take such swift actions? I won’t be buying Nissan for sure with such shady figure leading them.
