I really don't think this is a shock for anyone. The guy was huge, and doing things in baseball that were unheard of, all while on the "juice". All of these players are overpaid anyhow, and should be paid based on incentives and performance, vice expected performance. "Where have you gone Joe Dimaggio...?"

How could he do this to a 2 year old baby? He should be "practiced" on by Thai kickboxing students with repeated, precise kicks to his head!!!

Yuri, you are sorely mistaken. China has a very long memory, and I guarantee you if Japan asks the US to leave and decides to "buddy" up with China, you'll be taking Chinese classes in no time, as China will agree to "help" ensure Japan's security by occupying the very bases the US would leave behind. As Forest Gump once said "Stupid is as Stupid does!"

The ironic thing is that without the existence of the base, communities would not have "sprung up" around it's perimeter. I'm sure the inhabitants were all well aware that planes land 100 feet from where they were planning to build a school, then subsequently complain about the noise the place make because of their proximity to the school. Complete idiocy at it's fullest!!!

I think this all has to do with basic human values. This repressed society is devoid of emotional development or any outward sign of emotion from their youths. This is slowly changing within Japanese society, as I see more and more parents kissing and hugging their children publicly, however this approach needs to be embraced more within this country. I think then, people will be viewed as human beings vice burdens or agitators. If these natural human emotions are repressed, this will amount to tremendous internal stress and conflict with no outlet except alcoholism (after all it's the booze talking right?) or violence. Now, I'm not saying that all Japanese have this problem, however alot of changes need to occur to promote the development of Japanese emotional values on a national level.
