Posted in: Two new low-altitude routes introduced in April for landings at Haneda Airport enter Yokota airspace controlled by the U.S. military. Do you think it is right that the U.S. military should be able to control airspace in Japan? See in context
As long as Japan has to rely on USA for defense then they are obligated to provide assistance to u.s. military activities. If Japan assumes military capabilities to effectively defend and thwart aggression then the USA military forces can reduce their presence and questions like this become a non issue. This is the current reality. Emotionalism will make you feel good but won't protect Japan.

Posted in: After the coronavirus is contained worldwide, what do you think the global community's relationship with China will be like? See in context
Let's see. China suppresses millions of minorities in it's western regions by imprisonment, spying and intimidation and brutality. Elsewhere there is no negative questions or dissent allowed. Do so and you are visited by police institutions and threatened to shut up. Information about the pandemic is being withheld. Intellectual spying and hacking on western technologies is rampant. Aggressive military encroachment and threats in the south China Sea is escalating. Threats to other sovereign nation's like Australia for participating in an inquiry about the Wuhan virus, having students and paid operatives spy on dissidents in foreign countries, bribing scientists and businesses to steal secrets, etc., etc.
Is this a how a responsible nation conducts itself as responsible member of the global community?

It's encouraging the government is recognizing the weakness in depending only on China. People forget that the hungry bear with the insatiable appetite will stop at nothing to overwhelm and subsume it's neighbors. The world is recognizing China's duplicity in international relations. Africa, southeast Asia, Australia, the middle east are waking up and are refusing to be bullied.

Read the official legal documents released to the DOJ and public first before reaching a opinion. A blind person would reach the same conclusion that this prosecution was indeed an abuse of power and an innocent person was targeted. Very chilling to see law enforcement officials behaving in a criminal manner. The foundations of democracy was abused.

Looks appears to be more proactive and most importantly whether people agree with her or not, effectively communicates her message quite clearly.

Posted in: Vaccine opponents have been around for a long time. Their claims range from relatively modest safety concerns about specific vaccines or the risk of side effects to conspiracy theories that border on the bizarre. What do you think about them? See in context
People should have the right to make their own choices about vaccines. In America drug makers are protected from liability by law. A person can file a claim through the federal government but are also governed by a non-disclosure requirement. Millions have been paid out over the years for health or death damages but the public has little or no awareness of this.

I visited Tokyo for business in March 17-23 and was amazed at the complacency all around me wherever I went. I had my face mask and used social distancing wherever possible and kept hands clean. Does the behavior of the society explain their over reliance on government dictates as the determining factor regulating personal conduct?
