Japan missed its opportunity with tourism.

Now, with global inflation esp. air tickets, they may not find millions of tourists eager to spend their savings in a trip to Japan.

Almost no-one then: approximately 0.000018% of the population.

True if 100% of the population was tested.

You have got to be kidding me. Talk about spin. Seriously, who do you think you’re fooling? That alarming 50% increase is 1 person! One!!

After years of announcements from the J-Gov about good numbers and trends based on ridiculous tests amount, i don't see why the opposite pattern isn't legit now.

None of the comments here are anti vax or saying that restrictions should be thrown out of the window, your argument is a strawman

it's just because you don't know the history of some here

So, very few in critical condition. That's that main story.

that's the main narrative now since the "Japan model has beaten the coronavirus" is outdated.

I don't see the link between demographics and border controls here since Japan is not known for welcoming foreign residents.

It's just a trend which has stages.

Vlad said once in the past the sanctions are ineffective and have the opposite effect, citing the example of North Korea that keeps standing.

Russians had 30 years of western relationships they won't go back to a soviet system whereas north korean never experienced that.

Open your History book at the year 1938.

At that time, we didn't want to ear the "bad man" narrative.

Why does japan need to get involved in this thing? It's not your fight...Nobody cares about your "sanctions" anyways, you'll only create enemies.

Did it come to your mind that Japan has a territory conflict with Russia and is military supported by the US for all regional disputes ?
