It's a consequence of low birth rate : infrastructures, counsellors ... are insufficient.

Parental education have been abandoned by the officials of this country.

Yeah...Japan sugooi.....the need to be seen as a leader in whatever, anything, the constant need for self- reassurance is really pathetic, well beyond anything I've seen living in 3 continents till now. Grow up and be confident in your strengths while honestly admitting your weaknesses, without needing to be reassured all the time Japan.

Totally !

Japan is fragile and sinking (old population, less industries, less innovation, chinese hegemony in Asia) and wants to find other topics to glorify itself, to remain one of the leading nation.

Hence the cherry picking of topics and the silence about others.

Once the pandemic is over, whatever Japan did about it, the structural problems of Japan will remains.

Posted in: Over 90% of major Japanese cities to finish COVID vaccine rollout by Nov See in context

Shows how little you know. Japan is far ahead of America with the covid vaccinations. 95 million fully vaccinated out of a population of 127 million. 75%.

You don't know better.

The vaccination rate should be considered regarding the ELIGIBLE population, not the entire one.

Knowing Japan is the most aging population in the world, hence one of the most eligible in the world for vaccination, higher rate is rather normal.

No trophy here.

Posted in: Australian PM denies lying in public life; rejects French accusation See in context

Wouldnt matter which PM was in charge going nuke will be makes Australia naval military far stronger than it currently is, and they wont even have nuke missiles onboard. imagine leaving a dock in Australia traveling for 3 months underwater going almost anywhere undetected and surfacing again once youve returned to Australian waters. NO diesel electric sub can do that without refueling, if foreign military take out your refueling ships then they've effectively taken out your subs

FYI frenchs also build nuclear subs ...

So it has never been a technological problem only political/diplomatic one.

Now let's have a look at US recent navy successes :

Virginia-class submarines

According to Bloomberg, more than 1,600 parts had to be swapped among the Navy’s Virginia-class submarines since 2013 just to keep them operational. Many of these components were meant to be good for 33 years — but started wearing out decades early.

USS Zumwalt (DDG 1000)

Nearly $8 billions, 5 years delay, project abandonned

So Australian will not have submarine firepower for more years now until the US subs are delivered (much later). Facing a growing chinese firepower ...

Choosing nuke and loosing NZ support ...

No need to say the cancellation of the french deal will not be free.

What a smart move !

See you in 2050.

Japan has really led the way with overcoming the virus. Lockdowns were not necessary. It has been life and work as normal. Well done.

Anti-lockdown strategies didn't work in Netherlands or Sweden, countries which aimed for herd immunity at first. Japan would have done lockdowns if the constitution allowed it.

Many data scientists believed Japan numbers were and are ten times underestimated.

Nothing to praise here.
