Posted in: Japan awaits news of hostages as deadline passes See in context

It's real simple! They new what they were getting into and as a result they got pinched. Now we have the mother of the freelance journalist asking Japan to pay two hundred million dollars for her sons stupidity. lol.............

Posted in: Cars rally against Futenma base See in context

Sensato: Japan is more than capable of looking after its own affairs without any help from the U.S. As in most of the conflicts around the world, the U.S plays a roll in them either upfront or behind the seens. Maybe if Obama put more effort in cleaning up his own backyard than trying to so called fix the worlds problems, the U.S wouldn't be such a dangerous place.

Posted in: U.S. slaps sanctions on North Korea after Sony hack See in context

Obama is turning to the dark is easy to say they did it, but now he has to explain how they came to this conclusion. As in the past, we have experienced the George Bush saga saying Iraq has weapons of mass destruction, but inactually they didn't, and yet the U.S chose to go to war. And to this day, for the life of me, I still don't understand why Obama was given a Nobel Peace Prize........

Posted in: Policeman commits suicide in koban in Ehime See in context

I have a friend who was a police officer, and he told me that they were always bullied and pushed to get crime down in their districts. It's not a case of being over worked, it a case of supior officers who sit behind a desk a count crime stats to justify their excistance. Also, they should do sicalogical profiles on their officers before they graduate. Times are changing in Japan, and not for the better.

Japan is not as safe as it used to be. And all these middle aged wack jobs are coming out of the woodwork. It's time to start taking security percussions during school hours. Maybe teachers should be issued pepper spray. The world is changing and not for the better!

Posted in: Fukushima wants to host Olympic events in 2020 See in context

Hey! Maybe Chernobyl in Russia should bid for the Olympics. This is just stupid regardless of what assurances the PM has made. Just take a look at the current situation in Fukushima, going on four years and TEPCO still has their head stuck up their butts! Never happen!!

Posted in: Is Japanese TV really as bad as its reputation? See in context

If you think a guy running around in strange garments and making so called funny faces is good TV, then it's great. But if you like programing that has any sort of intellectual content, then it "SUCK!!" I could go on for hours, but like the programing, it's not worth the time or effort. NHK ................?! Use your imagination people!

I thought the idea of having the games was to bring the world together with a world class event like the Olympics, and leave all the politics at home. I guess that's not happening........ !

Posted in: Sri Lankan man dies at immigration center after being denied medical attention See in context

People, this happens everywhere. And probably even more in the West, you just don't hear about it. But to label a whole country on a couple of under paid guards and an administrator is also very wrong!! As most of us who have lived and worked in Japan, there will always be a level of racial discrimination. That's part of life living in Japan.

Posted in: Japanese journalist goes on trial for defaming S Korean president See in context

So much for a democratic society! Starting to look more like a dictatorship. This situation is just plain nuts! You figure they'd have more important things to do than waste their time on who the South Korean President was with, and what they were doing. Smells like a diversionary tactic!! Lol...................

Posted in: National Guard ordered in as Ferguson businesses torched See in context

Another case where police are not held accountable for their actions! Being a police officer in Ferguson in the future is now going to be a lot more dangerous, with no charges against the police officers in question, and with the amount of damage caused after the verdict, it looks like it might become open season on Fergusons finest.

Posted in: Mitsubishi UFJ fined $315 mil in U.S. over Iran sanctions violations See in context

As Japan has a relationship with Iran for oil and other natural resources, these fines are unfounded and just another cash grab. I wouldn't pay those crooks in the U.S. one single penny! You're only bullied if you let them. Like most bullies, they'll usually back down when confronted, and since the U.S. doesn't have many friends in Asia, it would be very unwise to bully your most important asset! Time for Japan to stop being victimized by the U.S. and China.

Posted in: Obama warns Asia over territorial disputes See in context

The American war machine at work. Obama should be more concerned about cleaning up his own backyard before trying to clean up everybody else's. The Eastern U.S. is starting to look more and more like something out of the Stone Age. And Japan is more than capable in dealing with China. China may have the numbers, but they don't have the technology! And with the amount of corruption and back room deals in China, they'd done if war broke out!

I'm going to keep this one short! Obama is a talker! That's all he's ever done! I'm still trying to figure out how this individual received a Nobel Peace Prize?!

Posted in: JOC officials 'astonished' by Tomita's theft denial See in context

He may be a good swimmer, but when it comes any sort of intelligence, I think somebody forgot to give him some. He confessed! He signed the confession! JOC was present to make sure all procedures were followed! The Korean court convicted him! And now he's trying to say it was the boogeyman! A once rising star, and now a disgraced athlete with no future in Japan. No sympathy here!

Posted in: Republicans take control of U.S. Senate See in context

It's very simple people! All we have to do is look at what the Obama administration has accomplished, or what they haven't in the last six years. As I said from day one, if it's to good to be true, it usually is. Obama came with energy, new ideas, and promises he could not keep. But what I find funny is, the writing was on the wall well into his first term, but after four years of talk, the American people voted him back into office. Was it a lack of suitable choices, or do the American people just like someone who can make them feel better, but do nothing to fix the problem? Please note! I have no ill feelings to the Obama administration, the facts speak for them self.

Posted in: Chiba police arrest cop on charges of theft See in context

lucabrasi... Are you serious?! A police officer takes an oath to uphold the law, and when they decide to break the laws that they swore to protect, you have sympathy for them? I hope the courts make an example of this individual! Crooks are crooks, but a crooked cop! The words I would like to use................. Sorry, you're going to have to use your imagination on the last part.

WilliB, you don't read much do you? Judging from your response, I'd recommend you look up "Ebola" on youtube! This may help you understand how bad the situation really is. And that Australia and Canada are doing what is best for their countries. And if that doesn't work, go back to school!

Posted in: Trade, justice ministers quit as Abe loses 2 of his 5 women ministers See in context

Did these woman think that this was going to be easy? They should have realized every little thing they did would be under extreme scrutiny! This will serve as a warning to the rest of the woman in Abe's cabinet. But we must also remember the sword slices both ways! These ministers should be doing some of their own homework on the so called boys club. I'm sure it would make for very interesting reading, especially the so called clean up in Fukushima!! It should be interesting how this plays out in the long term.

If the government believes it's safe to move back into this area, I think as a sign of good faith they should move their offices and homes to this area, I mean it's safe right?! We all know this would never happen. It was just a thought!

As I woke up to this tragic news, I was at a loss! If there was ever a time for the "DEATH PENALTY" it is now! If the police have done their job, and the evidence is clear, it's time to put this indavigual down! We have to send a message to these nut jobs, if you take a life, and especial a child your DONE! This type of behavior is becoming more frequent, and at an alarming rate! The time for action is now!! My condolences to the family.

Posted in: Teacher arrested for taking photos of girls in toilet See in context

Hi Swami Vas, Just so you know, students and especially parents do not look up to teachers..... I spent almost ten years in the Japanese education system, and the stories I could tell you would blow your mind. Why do you think parents invest so much time and money in JUKU and other learning centres? Everyday we hear about teachers doing stupid things that degrade their profession even further. But I guess, if you work six or seven days a week, we can't really be surprised! It just seems like the heads of the BOE's are not getting the message, or they're just hoping it'll go away.
