Brilliant, classy performance by Naomi; shameful performance by Serena and the NYC (my hometown) crowd. Yes there's racism, yes there's sexism, they need to be addressed; throwing hissy fits at the expense of your opponent is not the way. I don't remember Arthur Ashe acting this way, or Althea Gibson, or James Blake or Chanda Rubin or Zena Garrison or Martina Navratilova or any other minority player and I'm sure they had plenty of reasons to. This is just low class narcissism, Serena makes everything about her. Well, at least this time she didn't threaten to shove a ball down someone's throat.
