@yamada1043 Some are going to say that it is time that Trump pays attention not only to himself, but to the people.

If the teacher did that to someone on the street, he would have been arrested for assult and battery.

Posted in: Trump says toughest weeks ahead as coronavirus spreads See in context

Trump and people say that China lies about everything, and at the same time, they complain that China didn't alert them earlier. This seems contradictory. If China lies about everything, why believe what they would have to say about an early alert?

Yes, Trump put Jared in charge of the coronavirus pandemic even though he has no experience in this area. The US guys at the office say that all these people, including Trump, are in real estate, so they will do what they have to in order to save their real estate empires rather than save the American people. Also, Trump thinks that relatives will not write nasty books after he leaves office about how incompetent he is.

I'm puzzled. Trump said this would be over by Easter. What happened?

Trump hires family members because he thinks that they are not going to write nasty books about his mistakes and misunderstandings after he is out of office.

US guys at the office say Trump's "policies" are to protect his hotel business, not Americans. They will stay in Japan.

Posted in: Tokyo Olympics rescheduled for July 23-Aug 8 in 2021 See in context

Well that was just dumb! It should be scheduled for October like the 1964 Olympics. Doctors will still be taking care of coronavirus victims and have no time for all the people fainting in the heat.

Posted in: Japanese comedian Ken Shimura dies from coronavirus-caused pneumonia See in context

I loved his stuff when I was a kid growing up in the 1980s and as a teen in the 1990s. I've seen stories about several famous people dying from coronavirus, and these people are quite rich. If even the richest people who can get the best medical treatment are dying, what about the rest of us?

Posted in: Out-of-season snow falls in Tokyo, surrounding areas See in context

I know that some people are going to say "Well, what happened to global warming???". Well, global warming aggravates climate changes becuase warmth=more energy, so the cold and warm fronts move more energetically, collide, and cause these weather irregularities.

Can't believe it! Lines 20 or 30 people long in front of each of 6 cash registers at my supermarket. NEVER seen that before.

At least reschedule the Olympics for October, line the 1964 Olympics. Much better, cooler weather.

Stop complaining about her looks! She has the Takuya look, and that is very big here in Japan.

Posted in: Japan, IOC agree to postpone Tokyo Olympics for one year See in context

Delay for 1 year, AND schedule it for October, like 1964. Ignore the demand of US broadcasters who don't want the Olympics to interrupt football broadcasting etc.

First, an Olympics without an audience was proposed. Now the Olympics will be without any athletes. No audience or athletes. That is a new concept. CoronOlympics?

The virus causes only mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough

Yes, I'm also getting the impressions that this news is what Americans call a "nothing burger". So in whose interest is it to make such a big panic about nothing? Who is benefiting from it?

Posted in: Japan finds 15 clusters of coronavirus-infected people See in context

The explanation on the map makes no sense. It says:

green: 5 or more

blue: 10 or more

red: 50 or more

If you have 5 or more, you also have 10 or more and 50 or more. There must be a mistake in this explanation.

Posted in: Abe says no need yet for emergency declaration; Tokyo Olympics still on See in context

I don't get it. Only 2% of the patients die (elderly and people with pre-existing conditions). Most people who get the virus have no or only mild symptoms. Why is there such a huge over reaction to this?

Considering the possible effects of the coronavirus internationally, I think we should keep all our food and other natural resources. We will need them all in the future.
