America still can't get over losing the Korean War, just like Clinton can't get over the last election. Trump wants the rare metals and to control china, but china has been around for about 5000 years. White america....

I agree with dissalusioned. Artists who have a passion for music preform. Music companies exploit. Just look at J-POP girl and boy bands.

Japanese people use too much plastic. Uncovered food give the human body a chance to build natural resistance. Too many chemicals. Usually deli food is date labeled and thrown away or deep fried when expired. Except the famous peko...cake shop, but everyone forgot about now.

if we don't go invading countries and blowing things up, we only need a self defence force. america is not landlocked apart from the lumberjacks and the cheap labour.

Posted in: Antimissile battery deployed in Hakodate after N Korean missile tests See in context

a range of roughly several dozen kilometers

several dozens sounds like eggs.

PAC-3 batteries

how much do they cost, they don't work and who profits from their manufacture?

The crater of a nuke is about 1.4 kilometers

umm, i think you don't understand how hydrogen bombs work, and how nukes have developed in the last 72 years. the crater will be at least 20km, and if i was a fat crazy bst NK boss, i would send 10 at the same time as only 3 can maybe intercepted. plus, blowing up nukes just above tokyo?wtf?

What needs to be known is how fast can a Patriot crew detect a missile, lock on to it by radar, get the Patriot missile to fire, track, and destroy the incoming missile. If it is more than eight minutes, heaven help us.

i believe the reaction time and using all three systems is 6 minutes for tokyo. 3minutes for seoul, and 25 minutes for mainland usa.

@marcilito. yoh the smartest. abe wants to be dear leader for ever. the guy was the first to brown mouth trump.

Posted in: Easier anime work visa requirements for foreign students being considered by Japanese government See in context

a japanese language school i attended, 75% of students were so tired from working two full time jobs on a student visa. the ones that weren't, were Christian priests and commented on how cheap red wine is in japan. nobody liked manga.

but i guess with the driving of mario carts around tokyo, and the pink/purple dyed-hair westerners in cosplay uniforms, this visa may fill a gap. common denominator...they are all young. in japan, 22.7% are over 65, so we can maintain our culture with this new blood.

The oil is in Kurdistan so Iraq won't allow it. USA has troops embedded with both Kurds and Iraqis. That would put USA soldiers fighting each other. Very interesting.

@Ossan. Didn't you study science at school? Know what a couple of hydrogen bombs exploded over the USA will do? Nothing electrical will work, all the reactors will meltdown, no transportation, no food, all military hardware will be stopped, satilites and gps finished. Luckily he doesn't have a hydrogen bomb or any long range missiles.
