clemenza, I'm well over 15, never played the original Pokemon, and have been enjoying Pokemon Go with my kids this past week. There are throngs of 20-somethings walking around here in Northern California playing. The game will probably lose it's "newness" in a few months but it is fun, can be healthy (need to walk to get the eggs to hatch), and socially interactive (players walking around are willing to talk). I'd consider it more of a medium for different people to socialize (like golf) than a solitary activity like pachinko.
