Please stop with the China taking Okinawa talk, never going to happen. If new bases don't get built on or leave Okinawa, the US will still back Japan. Stop with the stupid talk already, one of dumbest arguments to make to keep or build new bases on Okinawa.

It's interesting how critical many of you are. What have you done in politics that have helped anyone?

How many of you said this wasn’t going to happen? Good for Japan, find these two guilty now.

Because accidents like this didn’t happen before cell phones.

Posted in: U.S. base in Okinawa confirms 32 more coronavirus cases; Iwakuni base reports several See in context

Contrary to what's posted here, the military is not testing everyone (SOFA), not even all active duty. No, they are not testing people at random, only those who have been in contact with someone who tested postive. A person I work with tried to get tested at USNH, but was told to stay home and quarantine himself (it wasn't COVID). The military is telling their folks the same thing local hospitals are.

Small price to pay to keep the the CCP from putting a boot to your neck...Was wondering how quickly it'd take for someone to make this stupid comment.

Regarding the AFFF, both foam and liquid were released, Stars and Stripes reported 60,000 GL. This equates, weight-wise, to well over 140 tons. The firefighting foam (aqueous film-forming foam) and is not just foam, it contains liquid too. And will cause bodily harm.

If you don't want or need it, don't take it. Listen to yourselves, you're complaining about potentially getting free money or money you didn't previously have. GOJ is damned if they do and damned if they don't.

Tamaki will lose the cases and tax money will again be wasted

This compared to the “ballooning” of necessary costs that taxpayers will eventually be responsible for anyway. If part of your argument is for saving taxpayer funds, instead of reclaiming land off Okinawa, would’ve been less expensive just to build a new base, or expand an existing one, in mainland.

Good to read the positive comments from posters. Hopefully the apology provides the affected people some closure or allows them to move on.

Floyd doesn’t need to fight a kid to prove you wrong! He has already accomplished what other boxers will probably never ever do. He doesn’t need to fight an unknown kid.

My first thought after reading this statement was that Mike Tyson and others probably felt the same way about Buster Douglas...
