Iran is really starting to anger me. Barack practically begged them to unclench the fist, but they go and do this. Iranians are making us progressives look like naive patsies.

What an uninformed comment! Lesson Number One: Amerika is no longer king. #2 Iraq is just a puppet government of GOP patsies, without any bite. If they were THAT good, they could reign in the suicide bombers in the Sunni Triangle. #3 If you think Iran is angering YOU, whoever you may be, can you even imagine how much Amerika is angering the Rest of The World? Especially after Obama's petulant performance in Denmark. Go back to studying that bellybutton of yours, and leave the administration of Iran to the Iranians. Wanna see clenched fist? Go ahead Mr. O., make my day!

Posted in: Obama nears win amid signs Clinton may admit loss See in context

I have personally heard Hillary Clinton tell individuals her security detail to "Shut up you, and xxxk you, just do your job!" and dismiss, demean and mistreat them is an inhumane way, time and time again. And all they did was say "Good morning, Ma'am!" I REALLY hope this Bxxxh doesn't get elected. The whole country would be living on Midol! Extra strength!

Bought some today, half price. Missus, (a.k.a. "the chef"), prepared it just perfectly. A wee drop of a very dry Greek wine, and it was just delicious. It wasn't Japanese, so I knew it was safe! Not re-labelled, re-served or M.I.C., you know what I mean! Not endangered either, so who cares!

Japan is THE least security-conscious country I've ever seen. Simple things like: Cancel post/newspaper delivery when you're away. Ask a neighbor to clear out any admail from your box. Lock your door! Put the chain on! Use light timers. Arrange to check in with friends/family on a regular basis, and have a plan if that doesn't happen. Put a 'club' on your steering wheel if you drive. Pre-pay or post-pay your bills online or at the bank. And then, be careful going to and from work/school etc. etc. Common sense, which, regrettably, is not all that common here.

Two pieces http://mparent7777-1.livejournal.com/333629.html which beg the question, of which country are they running to be President? And, it's high time that Hillary come to grips with realpolitik: http://mparent7777-1.livejournal.com/341353.html Even Hillary's campaign co-chair has faced it. Bill Clinton himself announced that this would be his last day on this kind of campaign. Just waiting for the hypercalorie challenged lady to sing!

Posted in: Olmert under fire over settlements ahead of U.S. visit See in context

And, bad as Olmert is, just look at who they're tipping as the successor, http://mparent7777-1.livejournal.com/343271.html The frontrunner to become Israel’s next prime minister, Tzipi Livni, was a Paris agent for Mossad, Israel’s overseas intelligence agency, in the early 1980s when it ran a series of missions to kill Palestinian terrorists in European capitals, according to former colleagues quoted by the Sunday Times. "They say Livni, now foreign minister, was on active service when Mamoun Meraish, a senior official in the Palestine Liberation Organization, was shot dead by a Mossad hit squad in Athens on August 21, 1983. She was not directly involved in the killing, in which two young men on a motorcycle drew alongside Meraish’s car and opened fire, but her role in Mossad remains secret," Times said. I guess you have to prove yourself with blood to get that job. Other peoples' blood.

If I was the head of a national team, I would block-book some of these hotel rooms for my staff/athletes if they were close to the venue. I saw a piece done by CCTV on the athletes' quarters, and they're kinda spartan. Might be the only creature comforts they get. Especially if they're serious about medals.

"The shuttle crew is made up of six Americans and one Japanese." But I'll bet a shiny new €uro that anyone watching Japanese TV will be led to believe that the "One Japanese" is the ONLY one up there, and he's heroically doing EVERYTHING himself! "Kibo-Hoshide" "Kibo-Hoshide" "Kibo-Hoshide" "Kibo-Hoshide" "Kibo-Hoshide" is all we'll hear until this mission is complete.

Interesting, as the Holy Qu'ran has at least 30 verses in it about gender equality: http://www.qantara.de/webcom/show_article.php/_c-307/_nr-19/i.html But, notably, both men and women are obliged to strive for a virtuous life and to prevent sins and evildoings ("amar ma'ruf nahi munkar"). Last I looked, killing innocents was not prescribed. I think they should ask Osama, http://whatreallyhappened.com/osama_dead.html the dead guy, what HE thinks, if, of course, the organization http://whatreallyhappened.com/fakealqaeda.html exists at all!

OK, let's hold the Bush Administration to the same high standards they for which they impeached Clinton. Lewinsky "did" Bill, and Bush "did" America, Iraq & Afghanistan, to name a few countries. So, who deserves impeachment more? Bill or Bush for his "4,000+" dead, many more permanently wounded and the disgrace and disrepute into whose quagmire America has been dragged on his watch? Scott boy, I doubt you've told us even the half of it!

Rather than singing his favourite "Bomb, bomb, bomb Iran" he might want to suggest that Christopher Hill et al replicate their diplomatic achievements, modest as they are, to Teheran, and save the world a lot of angst. If the US can talk to Crazy Kim, China and Russia, the only thing between them and a civilized discussion with Iran is the lack of political will.

Sarge, I admire your patriotism, but, regrettably it is not an analytic patriotism. You can't just point and shoot your M-15 "'cos I got orders." IF you're a Sarge, you have a duty to THINK too. "Sarge's" are the backbone of the Army. "Al Qaeda" is not who you think it is, and regrettably, your belief system will be turned on its rear-end when you find out. Wake up! America's enemies are internal, and made to look external. Ryan Crocker & David Petraeus are pawns in the game. And if you're enlisted, I regret to tell you....so are Y O U! So, remember when you're on base, in the commisary, at the mess hall or even in the latrine, "loose lips sink ships." Yours! TRUST NO-ONE, EVER! (Me included!)
