Posted in: Jones enjoys last laugh as England beat Australia in rugby See in context

The man has contributed to so many clubs' and countries' success. So shouldn't we just refer to Eddie Jones as "Mr Rugby" from now on?

Posted in: Antlers floor Reds to win J.League title See in context

“We won fair and square under the rules,” said Antlers captain Mitsuo Ogasawara.

And the rules resulted in a complicated, confusing, and unjust finish to the season. The clubs must have agreed to the change, which dragged the competition back to the 90's, baffling fans.

Urawa finished 15 points clear and then lost on away goals!? Surely things will have to return to the regular format in the near future.

Oh Gog, not another one... when will this PSYCHOPATHIC violence against women end?

There's no mention of psychopathic violence in the article.

At first glance I read the title as "Tainted Becky officially returns to J-TV".

If she was so horribly horrible, what was he doing giving her a baby in the first place?

My goodness! He didn't give her anything. This baby was born as a result of a spiritual and physical union of two souls. To say that one he was ”giving” her a baby shows enormous contempt for the woman's role in conception.

Posted in: Traffic deaths See in context

Despite being one of the most urbanised hight population density countries on the planet, Japan has low traffic accident rates since it goes to great, and successful lengths to promote road traffic safety.

This year's increase could be just the increasing age of the population. Reflexes do not improve with age.

It does seem to be true that laws are enforced by the police less, primarily because the populace enforce them (with leeway) themselves.

I don`t agree with one word of this. What an uninformed piece of nonsense. Just drive around for 30 minutes and count how many cyclists ride around on the wrong side of the road for starters.

Spending so much money on modifying their motorbikes so that they can be as loud as possible.

What sad, sad people they must be.

How many of them have girlfriends?

“We feel terribly alone. We hoped that others would do satire too,” he said. “No one wants to join us in this fight because it’s dangerous. You can die doing it.”

He`s dead right on this. Even the great Private Eye in London chickened out during the Princess Diana hysteria in 1997. They feared mob violence then, just as satirical sites across the globe fear humorless nutters today.

Posted in: Nikkei opens year with biggest one-day slide in 2 1/2 months See in context

Looks like it might be time to cash in and get outta town.

With the property market flatlining, speculators jittery on the yen, and this stock market slide occurring with the Fukushima problem refusing to disappear, it looks like 2016 might be the year that Japan finally goes the way of Spain, Portugal and Greece.

Posted in: Japan beats Samoa 26-5 to keep Rugby World Cup quarterfinal hopes alive See in context

Eddie Jones moving to SA is going to make the JRU look pretty pathetic. How can they let him go?

Japan looked so good last night. They looked a different team to the one that played Scotland.

I wouldn't go that far. They still played well against Scotland in the first half. I agree 100% with everything else you said though.

Posted in: What do Japanese men think about dating foreign women? See in context

very rarely see a Japanese Man/Western female couple.

So, because you don't see them, they don't exist? I'm on a message board for foreign women married to Japanese and there are over 1300 members.

Those numbers are quite impressive, but it`s a well known fact that white western women have always had a tough job here relationship wise.

While only a few weeks ago I watched a dolphin performance at the Niigata City Aquarium, I must say they're no longer a real attraction. Let them be free; I doubt they'd capture us for stunt performances. And eating them is disgusting.

So... you went to a dolphin show, did you, TrevorPeace?

Hats off to the editors at Japan Today for selecting a picture of some homosexual men. All too often, for some reason, we are forced to look at photo`s of a couple of hot lesbians, which are supposed to represent the event.

People need to understand that the purpose of this event is for recognition and respect in society, rather than an opportunity for tittilation.

Although Takajima has already received approximately 30 million yen from his retirement package, the board of education has put a halt to any further payments and is moving forward with plans to force him to pay back all the money he has received so far.

How can this be allowed to happen? He is fully entitled to his pension. This is a shocking way to treat a pensioner.
