Republicans will probably use plumbers just about as much as democrats constantly use their parade of hapless victims they use to scare the populace with.

I find it amazing that all the liberal, terrorist-loving, USA-hating posters here will rant, rave and scream against the US every time an article disparraging the US makes it's way to this site, but none of them show their face when the terrorists we're trying to fight turn up and explode a bomb killing innocent people..

The problem is that Obama can't put together coherent sentences whithout a teleprompter in front of him.

Obama is such an empty suit he definitely needs someone who can put more than 2 words together without a teleprompter in front of them, and maybe an actual idea or stance about something.

You can really tell how long people have been in a foreign country by the attitudes they have about their host country. I don't see anything here except a bunch of whining and complaining. I've been here 20+ years and can show example after example of forigners coming to Japan and being extremely successful. If you put in the time to learn the language and figure out how the system works, you'll find that people are creative, smart, open and for the most part great to work with. Many of the most amazing products in the world come from Japan so to say they are drones, etc. is a joke. I went through the roller coaster ride of liking/disliking things just like I'm reading in these comments so can sympathize, but in the end success or failure anywhere comes down to the attitude and ability of each individual.

Open your mind, keep learning and you will have a great time while being very successful.

All this liberal BS about people, including teenagers, not having the ability to take responsibility for their actions is amazing. Anyone looking at the rise in youth crime, grafiti, etc. etc. has to realize that liberal policies of allowing any behavior by anyone anytime anywhere is the root of most of the decline in moral values and rise in crime around the globe. Time to take out the paddle and smack some sense into the miscreants.

I say get these elected leaders to quit meddling in things they shouldn't be in the first place. You just have to look at Michigan & California to see what a mess over-regulating liberal politicians can make.

I'm not sure why I'd ever say that large deficits are a benefit, but there are probably liberals out there who think that's the case. I'll have to think about it... I especially love it when they start talking higher taxes and limiting freedom as good things.

Posted in: House Speaker Pelosi calls Bush 'a total failure' See in context

You'd think that the Pelosi-controlled congress' 9% approval rating would inspire Pelosi to look at her own repeated miserable failures as a leader. Then again, when was the last time anyone in congress ever took responsibility for the idiodic decisions they make??

I also got a great laugh from SushiSake3's post. Terrorism was quite rampant before Bush took office, progress in Iraq is so stunningly good that people are talking about an advanced withdrawl schedule, how does a tax cut siphon anything from an economy, the weakening of finanical institutions is almost exclusively due to congressional acts allowing people who have no ability to repay a loan getting one in the name of 'fairness', a weak currency is a boon for exporters, fuel prices are determined by supply and demand so when congress & the whacko environmentalists deter more supply at every turn people hedge their bets and the price rises, and while the inane remark about taxes is a whopper it takes second place to the total farce we call man-made global warming.

Whew. There is always a lot to say when liberals start putting up demonstrably backwards ideas.

Posted in: Obama revels in a presidential race with many contrasts See in context

Nisegaijin is pretty much spot-on. Obama has nothing new in anything he says. Using the word 'change' every other sentence doesn't mean anything without something concrete to follow up with. Obama would do nothing but what every socialist liberal in history tries: bigger government making more and more people dependent on it, punitively high taxes in the name of 'fairness' in order to realize massive redistribution of wealth, and disasterous economic policies aimed at ruining the very companies that employ millions and pay the majority of taxes.

I don't like McCain much for various reasons but Obama is a total empty suit.

Well said again weedkila. Nobody said pure CO2 isn't toxic to humans, but that doesn't make it a pollutant. It's an important part of the atmosphere needed to support the planet's ecosystem. There is a mountain of evidence debunking the inane claims that global warming/cooling is caused by people. Total hoax.

Pretty interesting how gas prices in the US jumped so high after the liberal dems took over a few years back. Pelosi & crew are doing a great job, and that spectacular 9% approval rating is a testemant to the wondderful job they're doing.

The USA being only a couple hundred years old makes it's acomplishments all the more impressive. Many Americans are very proud of their ancestry and the countries they come from, appreciate the history that led to where we are now and continue to maintain ties with their origins. I'm greatful for all the countries of the world that contributed to making America what it is, and I look forward to all the cool things yet to come.

As for me, my great-great-great grandfather was king William of England, which ties me into most of the major European countries and I have no problem with that whatsoever.

However, while I'm interested in learning the history I don't feel I have any responsibilities. If you are inferring that the people of today should somehow be responsible or pay for the acts of people hundreds of years ago, I say that's bollocks.

Well said Weedkila! Consensus does not science make. Remember when most of the scientists of the world belived the world was flat?? I'll take even a shred of credible evidence over consensus any day. For those that think consensus is the more important factor, there are more and more people claiming the whole notion of man-made global warming is a farce.

CO2 is not a pollutant. If it was we'd all get poisoned from our own friggin' breath!

Biggest hoax in modern times.

Thanks for that wonderful personal attack Yabits, great showing of how liberals can't carry out a discussion without resorting to name-calling. On top of that the inevitable moral equivalency argument about levels of degree is the icing on the cake. It's OK for Obama to say the same thing as long as he doesn't elaborate..

Cosby was totally crucified, and Obama has never been a leader on anything. Empty suit.

While Obama is a total mess on most other issues, good for him to come out and say what everyone is thinking.

Funny how Bill Cosby was totally crucified for saying this a few years back and now it's a cool thing to propogate because the Lord Messiah Obama has pronounced it to be so...

SushiSake, what do you call the mandatory additive of high-cost, polluting ethanol into gasoline which has raised the price of food world-wide, driven up gasoline prices, etc. which spurrs more taxes into government coffers? Yet another example of how liberals don't understand how the economy really works.

The globe warms and cools cyclically, and the whole man-made global warming scam is a total hoax.

One of the best websites I've seen that expose the lies told by the global warming crowd: http://www.junkscience.com/

Pumping more oil will not decimate the Earth, adn there is no man-made global warming. If Clinton hadn't vetoed the drilling bill congress gave to him we'd already be seeing lots of fuel coming out of ANWAR and prices wouldn't be near this high. Why should a bunch of fear-mongers who want to control people & raise taxes who are spreading blatantly false claims be listened to? Algore is the biggest joke on the planet at the moment as temperatures continue on an 8-year cooling cycle...

Joke of the day is reserved for people who believe in the man-made global warming hoax. The CO2 that people exhail constantly is a pollutant? Biggest joke of all.

Total crock scam meant only to increase government control and raise taxes. Maybe someday they'll actually come up with some credible evidence...

"Anyone who does not believe the earth is getting hotter has zero knowledge of thermal and atmospheric dynamics. ZERO. "

Anyone who does not look at actual data proving the earth has cooled the past 8 years has zero knowledge of anything whatsoever.

How's that for a liberal-style personal attack? I'm working on using the same arguments liberals use to promote their BS.

Oil rocks.

Hmm. Spelling put aside I was hoping for more of a reaction to a totally absurd claim than a very weak personal attack. Using absurdity to show the absurd is a great way to show how the people who blindly follow the religion of man-made global warming don't care about facts. They throw out a bunch of so-called 'evidence' based on flawed computer modelling while ignoring the fact that is no viable evidence of man-made global warming, while ignoring the mountain of facts disproving Algore's and other self-appointed messiahs' absurd claims.

One of the facts ingnored is that the earth has cooled the past 8 years in a row... Total hoax.

Posted in: Bush, Democrats bicker over soaring energy prices See in context

Simple supply and demand scenario. The US has enough natural resources to supply a huge amount of it's energy consumption and the only people blocking this are the environmental whackos & liberals. It's total hypocracy for the libs to be screaming for current producers to increase production to lower prices when for more than 30 years they have blocked production & refinery capacity at home, while at the same time saying that new drilling & plant development won't do anything to reduce prices.
