Sad reality in Japan. Many people die lonely. If people would open up to each other, and not shame anyone who needs help.

@Thomas you have a really bad taste in fish meat. Eating whale meat is worse than eating the cheapest tuna sushi money can buy.

Being half is only an advantage if your other half is white. Yes you may be treated differently, but that is because they think you're cool. Half brown, black, or yellow on the other hand is another story. People may talk to you as if you’re dumb.

I'm done with the iPhone and all phones. iPhone X would be my phone for 4 more years.

I'm more excited about the big changes on their laptop range. Keyboard's been fixed, fine, but at least make dongles free. At $3000 price tag, we should be able to get a free dongle!

As for the people blaming the govt. for not ordering evacuations. It's a bit complicated.

Seismic catastrophe aren't easily predicted, they just happen. There's nothing the government can do about it.

What the government can do is to assess locations where landslides are likely to happen and prevent the people from residing there.

As for the recent typhoon. The people are warned. It's time to make businesses take warnings seriously. Hold off any work that requires employees to go outside.

I was involved in a traffic accident myself in which I was the defendant, the victim didn't sue but the state did. Nobody offered if I should settle, i wonder if that's even an option in Japan.

And she should stop driving like i did. I don't mean to be sexist or what, but when I see a woman driver or somebody old, I just let them have their way. Statistics don't lie.

Almost all the Japanese mothers I know thinks occasional ass-whooping is fine to discipline them.

Fine, I get it, but sometimes your emotions get ahold of you, and the simple ass-whopping will turn to abuse and become a regular thing.

Posted in: Brazilian pilot arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting woman See in context

So, based on what posters here have written, if a man I have met, get on with, and don't think is a risk to me, invites me to his place for a coffee, a glass of wine, a meal, I am meant to have sex with him?

Or is it safer to believe that every man I meet and get on with is a risk to me?

@maria basically, yes. He is a risk. The very same girl also got on with this man and went to his apartment thinking it's just an innocent invitation, obviously. I have met my fair share of sociopaths/psychopaths, you can never trust anyone these days even though they seem harmless.
