Posted in: Chiba woman jailed for 7 years for killing 13-year-old daughter See in context

Unseen force or not you always the right to say no, it's called free will. This woman chose to kill her own daughter and will have to live with that fact where ever she is. Let's hope she does not decide to have another child.

If this guy has a mental problem, then lock him in a institution for the criminally insane. He cannot control himself so someone has to. Next time he may kill, intending to or not.

Even if there's more to the story, this guy needs to be locked up! This 22 year old woman's life has changed forever.

I'm with "gogo". This woman risked the lives of 20 people for paper. No matter how much money was involved,l it could not buy back even one life!

Logical solution for a 49 year old, move out, NOT murder. Sad way to repay one who gave you life. RIP dad.

Posted in: Man gets 22 years for hit-and-run deaths of 3 women in Otaru See in context

OK so 22 years is all he gets. He was drunk and not paying attention. He knew he hit someone and ran away. While this was an accident, it turned into aggravated manslaughter by his leaving the scene. I agree with Mark, he may have been able to save life if he stopped and reported the accident, so this makes everything more serious.

Should be longer, but 22 years is all he gets. I hope that the justice system does NOT parole him early and never gives him another drivers license .

Posted in: 37-year-old man arrested for abusing 5-year-old stepdaughter See in context

Article difficult to understand. "Only the second daughter step"? Were they married? It sounds like a very difficult family arrangement. That being said, the man needs serious time alone (jail time) and mandatory anger management counseling. This of course, will put very difficult strains on the family finances. Better that than another round of abuse with the very real possibility of more serious injury or death.

Seems to me that the male dominated society got their way. One less foreign female exec in Japan.

With 8 kids at home, wonder what he has in Hiroshima the rest of the week? Did anyone check if there was another reason for doing away with this family?

(Why only men in Japan here and now are being arrested? Does this happen in other countries? Why? Why not?

What are the laws that only target men? Why? Why not?)

How many women have been caught stealing men's underwear??

Bring this case up now may help a young adult who has serious questions about their past to come forward. A DNA check will prove their identity and may reunite the family, if not catch the offender.

A little more information might forewarn others about dangers. Slavery is happening all over the world and takes many forms. The more people are informed the more they can be forearmed.

Why is there a lack of a buddy system. It has gotten dangerous worldwide for our young ones to walk alone. Walking in groups greatly reduces the likelihood of being attacked and greatly increases the chances of attackers being caught.

Seems like this young needs to learn just what love is! It's certainly not selfish murder. (I can't have her, no one can.) Sad that the young woman will never know what true love feels like.
