Dumb Republicans (though not all are dumb) just don't understand democracy and rule of law or even their own constitution. Anyone who doesn't agree with them is somehow a liberal. And yet it's not even been 8 weeks since Trump's election and we're watching him explicitly support a foreign leader over the American people, and all the people who spent all those 8 years braying about the doom of Obama don't have a single cross word to say about it. It really lets you see just what their feigned patriotism really is.

Trump's going to sell the USA down the river and it won't matter to him because he's a plutocrat. He pays little to no US tax but makes billions from business deals around the world. Japan paid compensation dcades ago to a country that routinely murdered its political opponents. Heading that country was the current president's father. Korea should look at itself and accept that reparations have been made. But then modern Korea has ignored the settlement in the 1960s so it' no surprise that the nationalists are ignoring the current settlement.

The most embarrassing thing for the Republican Party regarding this whole Trump debacle is the length some Democrats will go to to defend him, not least on here. If it was Abe losing money and dodging taxes, those very same peole would be tearing him to shreds. But no, Trump's a Republican so he must be defended at all costs.

Trump has no clue about the nuances of foreign policy and only thinks in terms of money. His comments - and actions if elected - will only speed Japan into changing the constitution and arming up to defend itself. With the USA showing reluctance in the region, China will grab its chance to seize and militarize more disputed islands, and will deploy miltary vessels in the South China Sea. With less US support for countries like the Philippines, they will partner even more with Japan.

Japan and China will clash - skirmishes at first - and there will be a war with China. All accompanied by a global economic slump.

We've seen them restrict rare earths before. This is an obvious reaction to the recent ruling against China on its illegal activities in the South China Sea.
