@vinke

3K is きつい(demanding/hard), 汚い(dirty),危険(dangerous) basically something like construction work.

It has nothing to do with bullying or discrimination though. People don't want to have 3K Job because it is tough and wage is not high, that doesn't mean construction workers are discriminated against.

I'm sorry, but that's ridiculous. When I had ACL surgery a Japanese hospital wanted me to stay in the hospital for 4 weeks post-op, and only agreed to discharge me at 2 weeks because my wife was 8 months pregnant.

Meanwhile, the average stay in the US, the UK, and Canada? 24-48 hours post-op, with many discharging to home the same day

It is just risk avoidance. They generally follow standard period of hospitalization that is decided by MHLW.

From hospital's finance point of view, hospitalization longer than 2 weeks is a burden.

Guradians have right to claim kidnapping regardless minors are willing to go there or not. Imagine she was 5 years old instead of 17.

Japanese hospitals are notorious for.being overly cautious. The longer they keep patients in hospital, the more money they can claim from those patients' insurance.

This is wrong. After 2 week, it is not profitable keeping patients in hospital.

That study about correlation between suicides and school calendar is universal thing, similar studies in the US show the same phenomenon.

The issue here is not being fuzokujo but working part time. Also police's average wage is way above that of English teachers.

If you cannot live with police's wage and abide law, you should not be police.
