Posted in: Leah Dizon reappears after 3 years See in context

lots of pictures and videos of the event on Google and youtube if you're interested. Man I was a huge Leah fan back in the day and she's looking a lot more European than I remember but I can't help but feel like this comeback (which now makes the second time?) is doomed. Her appeal was being a cute single American chick and now that she's a solo mother.. what will be in her place in the industry and who is her target?

Fur is beautiful and elegant. I thought these days we were SUPPOSED to use more natural products instead of synthetics... as long as the animals being used for fur aren't endangered species, I don't see the problem. Just another renewable resource.

Yeah, probably wouldn't be so 'beautiful and elegant' if you had to go out and murder this animal for yourself though right? Because THAT would be barbaric?

And anyone who insists that animals are 'Just another natural resource' and not the intelligent sentient beings that are, and subsequently is comfortable with their slaughter, seems like a very sociopathic uneducated individual to me.

Posted in: Rocker Tyler leaves ailing 'American Idol' See in context

I still prefer American Idol over The Voice and X Factor. Say what you will about him, but Ryan Seacrest is unbeatable as a host. Steve Harvey was decent on X Factor but was a tad boring, and I don't even remember the name or face of the host of The Voice. I guess it's just starting to sink in that winning these contests doesn't guarantee success; out of all the American Idol winners, only Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood and Adam Lambert have actually made careers for themselves.

The plot of the manga certainly intrigues me, but no doubt any sincere creative genius on the part of the original author will be obscured, if not completely destroyed, by Sawajiri's one-dimensional acting and diluted-for-the-masses stye of most manga-to-TV adaptations.

Lol'ing at the "She's copying Lady Gaga!" comments. You guys are the ones who believe that Lady Gaga is like, 100% original right? I'm assuming you've never heard of Elton John, Cher, Madonna, David Bowie, or the country of Japan in general? Yeahhh. Japan was doing this kind of thing LONG before that Lady Gaga ever made her way on the scene.

As a former fan of 2PM (I don't hate them now or anything, I've just um, progressed in my musical tastes)... weren't they always called OneDay? They were created alongside 2AM and known collectively as OneDay since their mutual inception.

I get why they re-made the Hulk movie that starred Eric Bana... but why remake Spiderman? Tobey Maguire was awesome, Kirsten Dunst was awesome, James Franco was awesome, Willem Dafae was awesome... I don't think Andrew Garfield can match up that level of awesomeness. Seriously.

Posted in: Lady Gaga wows S Koreans as global tour kicks off See in context

Haters gonna hate. I'm admittedly no fan of Lady Gaga and her attention-seeking antics, I think her songs are over-produced rubbish and I hate that we're going to be referred to in the future as the "Lady Gaga Generation"... but I'm taking her side in this. An above commenter says it all, she's is "playing their game" and she still gets flamed for it. You're never going to please everyone, so you might as well not give a toss what anyone else thinks and if people are paying to come to your concerts, then give them a great concert. In that sense, I find her inspiring.

Posted in: Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt get engaged See in context

Good on them for not buckling to the stereotype that marriage = necessary for a strong relationship and a happy family. Their children are beautiful and always look full of joy (except maybe Shiloh, she definitely has her mother's teenage-era moodiness going on heh). I wish them a happy marriage, though I'm thinking somewhere in the world Jen Aniston probably isn't jumping for joy...

Posted in: Anna Tsuchiya relishes dubbing Rihanna's voice for 'Battleship' See in context

Oginome - I feel the same way about her, and I seriously thought I was the only one. Anna goes around acting like she's some 80s rock god and like she knows the real dirty side of fame when really, from what I've heard she starts trouble for no good reason because she wants a 'bad girl' rep. She's a mother now and I wish she'd stop acting like an emo 15 year old.
