Woke me up at about 1:12 am. Even in Fukuoka it was very noticeable and lasted about 10 seconds.

This was probably the last flight, lots of businessmen go to Tokyo for the day and return home at night. Also there is a 3-day week-end starting on Friday today, some Tokyo families might have been returning to their hometown for a short vacation. I don't think the tourists were to blame.

Do you know what halal meat really is? The animals have their throats slit while still conscious (not stunned as for non halal meat), their heads turned to Mecca while a prayer to Allah is being said. They suffer immensely.

So sad. I had only 1 child because of toxemia( a dangerous pregnancy related illness) and he was born premature by c-section, but he is now a healthy and happy young man. The only times he had accidents were when he was at school! I feel that women in Japan rely too much on their mothers to help them when they have a baby. I didn't have anyone to help me here in Japan but I asked a baby day care center to look after him when I was working.

RIP. Has anybody noticed? he died on 6/6 and he was 66.
