I've been a fan of her music since nearly the beginning. A great talent!

Of course, not every genre of music is liked by everyone (such as ⬆️), but that's how it goes with the arts.

Shania rocks!

ICYMI,

"... and I found it unbearable," he said., adding his partner had supported him, "even though she couldn't take one step out of the house".

SHE couldn't take one step out of the house. SHE.

Is he actually homosexual? I don't know. And I don't care. That's his business.

Figure skaters (both m&f) do tend to be rather dramatic or even narcissistic, but it's ridiculous to paint them all with the same broad brush. It's a very physically and mentally demanding sport.

How about cut him (and the people related to him) some slack, paparazzi-type folks.

The outage could have been related to (but not very likely) the geomagnetc storm that occurred from 18:00 UT yesterday which was caused by a CME blast from Friday. Key word is that it COULD have been an effect.

I wonder why the "climatologists" cleverly omitted the data from the 20's, 30's, 40's, 50's, and 60's?

Including a more complete data set reveals a more accurate picture of the activity.

Biden's mealy-mouthed milquetoast "support" of Israel emboldened and enable the terrorist attacks perpetrated by Hamas/Hezbolla.

Hamas and Hezbolla terrorists have brought the retaliation upon themselves by the unprovocted MURDERS of the many peaceful Israeli CHILDREN, BABIES, & ELDERLY in the attacks on ACTUALLY innocent, UNARMED people in the kibbutzs!

Not ONE member of Hamas/Hezbolla is innocent, nor should be spared the just recompense!

Just shortly before the blast, PIJ announced they were about to launch a massive missile attack on Israel. Then, moments later, the blast occurred in the vicinity of the missile launch site (evidenced by multiple intel agencies). The blast was from an errant missile launched by PIJ.

Posted in: Prosecutors seeking to recharge Alec Baldwin in fatal shooting on set of Western movie "Rust" See in context

There's no accusation of "murder". Rather, charges related to manslaughter and negligent handling of a firearm are appropriate.

What Baldwin did was carelessly handle a firearm which ended in the actual shooting.

He pulled the trigger.

These punks are young, dumb, and full of some. This is no "youth group" but a group of undisciplined punks. One of them will get to taste the reality as a legal adult!

Send them all to JSDF Basic Training as an opportunity to get their stuff sorted(training only, not actual enlistment) . At the end of the training, maybe they'll have some sense. Many troubled youths in years past got sorted that way.

Posted in: Is buying a house in Japan a good financial investment? See in context

When renting, all your money goes into someone else's equity. But, when you buy a house(I don't recommend condos), then some of each payment to the bank is to your own equity.

So, in the long term, buying a house can be better if you plan to live in it (or later rent it out, with risks!) for a long time.

Posted in: Ringo Starr on ‘Rewind Forward,’ writing country music, the AI-assisted final Beatles track and more See in context

Mr Starkey has always had a penchant for American Country music. Rockabilly came from the combination of Country, Bluegrass, and Blues.

Remember that The Beatles did a great cover of Buck Owens' 1963 hit "Act Naturally" themselves in 1965 because Ringo liked it so much. And then Ringo and Buck teamed up to make a music video of the song in 1989!

Ringo is a cool dude.

Posted in: Japan logs hottest September on record; 2.66 C higher than average See in context

The measuring stations are located in the "heat island" zones, the concrete jungles where the surge in high-rises and asphalt along with the decrease in green zones combine. This clearly skews the data.

As for the sea surface temp, it's an El Niño year. That's also a driving force in the WEATHER pattern.

One of the many predictions from the climate alarmists is the increase in frequency and severity of tropical storms, which is not reflected in reality(even clearly stated in this piece) .

Merely moving the goalposts to manipulate the results.
