@Probie

""very satisfying"??"

Some people actually feel satisfying helping others.

"He was handed a suitcase by two African associates, and was asked to give it to the wife of one of them in Tokyo"

If he didn't suspect something illegal might be in the suitcase, then he really is hopelessly stupid. At first I thought that Chinese government might have tampered some evidence, but I read more about this and it just seems like a case of incredibly stupid person. And he is/was a city council member ? smh

It's funny that the little league world series is actually world series, inviting teams from other countries while the MLB's "World Series" is limited only to North American teams

@MarkG

"In fairy tail land this is perfect. In real life this is a problem."

Nara has had deer in the city for more than 1,000 years. People and deer have adapted to their unique life style. You talk as if this is some kind of new experiment.

Threaten to boycott ? Normally a threat comes with some kind of negative consequence but I just can't think of any.

As always, typical JT posters can't stand hearing any positive news about Japan, still find something to complain about even if the crime rate has gone down.

Yes yes, I'm sure your home country has even lower crime rates and the police do excellent work and nobody complains

@Blacklabel

Who said you have to choose a country and root for them from the qualifiers ? It's just for fun and it's much more fun if you have a team/country to root for.

Yes, you are the one who is ridiculous if you are complaining about people rooting for Germany. 99% of Brazilian people rooted for Germany as well in the final, do you think they were rooting for them starting from the qualifiers ? SMH...

Posted in: Zaccheroni quits as coach after Japan's World Cup flop See in context

Is anyone surprised with this news ?

The coach should take credits if the team does well, and he should also take the biggest blame if it doesn't. I would love to hear how you guys justify some of his questionable decisions like going into the aerial battle against Greece when their defenders are like 3 feet taller most Japanese forwards.

And we knew about Japan horrible defense for the past 2 years but he kept using the same CB, Yoshida. Even the last coach Okada who did very well at 2010 WC weren't asked back after the WC so of course Zac has to go after the horrible results.

The penalty kick was a complete BS. I'm sure it's a tough job being a referee at an important game like that but a wrong call is a wrong call.

Posted in: Abe vows efforts to resume commercial whale hunt See in context

I'm a supporter of whaling but the government shouldn't intervene. We should not use any tax payer's money and it should be done only within Japan's territorial waters.

And the consumption of whale meat is declining so hopefully it should be gone in 20 years or so voluntarily.

They took Crimea from Ukraine so now they might give us some of the 4 islands back ? He really is playing the politics like we play a game of chess...

We should make a deal even if it's just 2 of the islands. We don't want to piss off Putin and also we will never get all the islands back anyways.

"Japan must never forget what they did"

And the US must never forget what they did, taking away an entire country from native Americans, making a bunch of treaties and breaking them whenever you feel like it.

Also bringing slaves from Africa and discriminating them like they are not humans. Perhaps you should look at yourself before criticizing others

GM needed bailout by the government because they kept making crappy cars while the CEO Wagner made $50M/year salary when the company was losing $200M every month !!!!!

Also they were giving out generous retirement packages and health insurance ti their unions, but keep blaming the Japanese if that makes you feel better

@USNinJapan2

Have you lost a family or close friend in a murder case ? Some people, like me, actually want the criminal dead, with as much pain as the victim suffered if it was legal.

So don't talk as if you represent the majority, because you don't, at least not in Japan and American states that still have death penalty.

Maybe you can explain to the family members of the victims how you are so right and they are so wrong. Go for it
