Because the ruling party of China put the nation: "China" first.

The CCP has never put "China" first. They have and always have put the CCP power and control before the country and the people of China. I dream of a day when China would be free and prosperous under the true control and decisions made by the people, instead of the select CCP elitist regime.

CCP elite "voting" system. Choice A: Xi Jinping of the CCP. Choice B: Xi Jinping of the CCP. Choice C: Both A and B.

I keep saying that China would be a great country if only the CCP wasn't in the way. The average Chinese citizen knows this. Why else does the CCP keep arresting anyone in the country who tries to advocate for a true democratic system, human rights, and freedom from CCP oppression?

As I have said many times before, the one who initiates a nuclear strike (not in retaliation of a nuclear attack) will be the first country to be wiped out in retaliation.

While the nuclear "deterrent" only is effective to deter other countries with nuclear abilities from attacking with nuclear weapons first. We all know (I hope) the retaliation is what keeps them all in check.

Posted in: Game on: Sony re-enters VR headset fray See in context

Consoles are geared towards people who want high quality affordable gaming systems without dumping thousands into a single PC. A co-worker of mine is already saving to drop literally $1200 on a VR capable graphics card, then an additional $1800 on a seperate VR headset alone for his gaming PC.

I will be eventually getting the PSVR2 and will have access to good VR for about $1100 total. $550 for my PS5 (and a lot of free games I could upgrade from the PS4) and then $550 for the PSVR2. I'll be able to take some trips overseas after that.... him on the other hand probably won't be going out of the country for quite a few years.

Posted in: Game on: Sony re-enters VR headset fray See in context

I have the PSVR and some really good games for it. But to be honest, I don't play them that much unless i really want to feel fully immersed while gaming. Which is not very often... Astro Bot Rescue mission was an absolute joy to play, but so sad when I finished. Wipeout Omega collection was already on my system, and the VR update made it AMAZING. Really wish there was PSVR support for Elite Dangerous, but no luck. I am looking forward to the PSVR2 but hope there will be great games for it that last as long as flat games. Not many out there. Usually many are too short with little replay value.

Posted in: WHO appeals to China to release more COVID-19 information See in context

We all know that the CCP didn't isn't willing to release accurate information. A country of over 1.5 billion most definitely lost millions of people to COVID in the early days. The CCP knows they have to lie in order to keep their ideal (trash political power and control) image over China. No accountability, no value, no trust. And the CCP still wonders why the world doesn't see them as a respectable "super power". Lie too much, deceive too much, and manipulate too much.

Idiots. The CCP can't stop being A-holes. You can't say you stand for peace when actively trying to forcefully take over Taiwan... The CCP just can't stand political opposition, freedom, and democracy that the ROC has become. The ROC has existed for far longer than the CCP. The CCP has no rightful claim.

Posted in: Are you concerned at China’s growing might in security and economic issues in the Asia-Pacific region? See in context

It is not the country that worries many, it is the CCP. If China had a better governance than the CCP like Taiwan, Hong Kong (before the SAR debacle), that gave it's people RIGHTS, FREEDOMS, and DEMOCRACY so the people could choose how the government would run, and the ability to CHOOSE their leaders, China would probably be seen in a very different light today.

A Chinese citizen had the sentiment that they loved their country, but the CCP ruins everything by trying to control everything and everyone. They clearly stated if the CCP didn't exist, China would be a far better country than it is now.

As I've said before, China could be an amazing country. But the CCP is constantly squandering the potential of what the country could do if the CCP wasn't so hell bent on being in power over others. They can't compete in a democracy because they would be voted out if far better political opposition were available (or allowed).

I told our Trumpeteers on this site that Putin knows how to play them like fiddles. And all this article shows, is yes, the looney right only needs to hear what they want to hear, and they'll cozy up like loyal pets to autocratic regimes. I miss classic conservatives. They wouldn't even think of doing something so bass ackwards like being manipulated and controlled by Russian espionage.

This is the result of identity politics the GOP has been pushing for decades, demonization of those with political ideals different than the current Republican party per toxic partisanship propaganda, followed and exacerbated by Trumpism.

Rhodes can't even comprehend his actions run completely counter and in utter violation to other American's basic constitutional rights. This is what happens when you run blindly into the rabbit hole of political fanaticism and don't even realize you're running straight into fascism.

Even during this current election, Trump's big lie is still affecting the US. No proof, no evidence, just a big liar being believed by gullible tools.

Some fools never having actually lived under a dictator love to fantasize how "wonderful" and "amazing" it is to not be allowed to think or believe anything a "supreme leader" doesn't propose. The DPRK is a perfect example for them, but they still refuse to learn from history. People like this desire to be RULED by someone who puts themselves above the people of the country, not real leadership who puts the people first.

They had better hope that they NEVER get what they wish for.

Posted in: Russia vows to respond to greater Western involvement in Ukraine See in context

Russia is saving its real weapons in case NATO attacks. Peace is best.

Putin destroyed that peace once he chose to invade Ukraine. Had he not invaded Ukraine, we would be at PEACE right now at this moment. This isn't the 1900s, this isn't the 1800s, and it is not the 1600s where imperialist expansionism and colonization is an acceptable means of showing the "power" of ones "kingdom".

Lies and delusion do not equate truth and reality. Putin ruined the peace as well as the Kremlin cronies of HIS REGIME. Capitulation and appeasement has never created your version of "peace". History has taught that lesson quite a while ago.

If you think NATO will be the only one's attacking Russia if they use their "real weapons", you have another severe surprise coming. Nuclear war is a threat to all of humanity, not just NATO. Imagine not having safe food to eat, water to drink, and air to breath any more.

And in spite of your constant pro-Putin propaganda, you had better hope that certain external factors that are quite possible don't completely shut Putin's nuclear fever dream down hard... the universe is a big place...

Posted in: Russia abandons key bastion; Putin ally suggests a nuclear response See in context

I am sure that if Ukraine starts re-arming up with nukes, Putin might think again. Ukraine's president may want to start talking with France and other nearby nuclear powers to send them a few missiles to use.

Ukraine gave up it's nukes in the past. If they get them back with the current situation, it will be even worse for Russia because Ukraine can retaliate with a vengeance.

Posted in: Russia abandons key bastion; Putin ally suggests a nuclear response See in context

I think if Russia uses one nuke, depending on the yield Russia will be invaded by NATO and every other nation that does not want to engage in nuclear WW3. Russia's army will be decimated so they can't wage war any time in the for-seeable future. The best way to stop the war is to eliminate the enemy's ability to wage war.

Nukes start going off, and humanity will no longer have a bright future ahead of us.

Hopefully Russia's generals won't even bother to enact such an order.

Even in the US generals will try and dissuade any POTUS from using nukes until it really is the FINAL option in RESPONSE to a nuclear attack.

Putin is INITIATING a nuclear attack. Not responding to one.

The CCP will not be attacking Taiwan, they will be attacking their political opponents of the ROC to try and claim absolute control over China by the CCP.

This isn't about the "re-unification" of China. It is about the CCP demanding absolute power over everyone in China with no democratically elected political opponents.

Historically China treated Okinawa /Ryukyuans better than the Japanese ever have.

You conveniently forgot that the CCP also was not in charge of China back then, and is the current ruling government today. Just replace the US bases with CCP bases... have fun!

Okinawa can make it's own future, but I guarantee, poor choices will create poor consequences.

Posted in: North Korea passes law allowing for nuclear first strike See in context

There is no such thing as a pre-emptive nuclear strike. It is a nuclear attack if it they launch a nuke first.

And as NK fat boy and his regime doesn't understand, the first one to launch a nuke, is the first one to be eliminated. Why does this reminder have to constantly be said after literally decades of history show that nuclear war leads to the end of humanity and our livable environment.

One of the ever dwindling few of the greatest generations. The Queen was very much built from a strong cut of women of the era.

While she was part of a monarchy, WW2 survival and fortitude made them very strong women. I was fortunate enough to have been attended to by some foster grandma's who also were surviving in those times of war. They taught much, and showed strength in times of trouble and adversity. Much respect, and may she RIP.

IS did the bombing. Doesn't matter who was the target, but that the Taliban and IS are both fanatics who desire control through religious ideology. One is more active in killing "the infidel" than the other.

But I am sure both Russia and China think they'll somehow get something out of Afghanistan with the Taliban in charge...

Government officials claim that IS has been defeated but experts say the group is the main security challenge for the country's current Islamist rulers.

Thank you for the distinction that the Taliban are rulers, not leaders of Afghanistan. No financial help for them whatsoever except by other governments that like to rule their people.

As long as the Federal agencies involved are required to uphold their oath to their constitutional values and laws to protect and uphold it, Trump and all involved in this mess will be indicted. The DoJ and AG are building the case as they still are confirming evidence.

When the hammer comes down, it will come down hard. Regardless of what Lindsay Graham said, the feds agencies have a duty that they are required to do, and MAGA-GQP is going to reap everything they've sown.

Posted in: Biden warns Americans that Trump and his MAGA allies threaten democracy See in context

Biden wasn't my favorite choice for running against Trump back in 2020, but their generation is hell bent on powering over in politics on the generations after. But I completely knew that just as in 2016, I had to vote between the lesser of two "evils". In 2016, I went with the devil I knew. In 2020, I voted for democracy and upholding what against an obvious autocratic aligned group of crooked "conservatives".

But because MAGA couldn't accept the results of the majority of voters not voting for their grand emperor. They start chugging the kool-aid so hard with the instigation of their almighty ruler's blatant lies, that they sucked it in like the sycophants they are, and held it up as "truth".

As I said before, the CCP does not believe in basic human freedoms. And they want to push their world view on everyone else... which isn't going to work on those who have actually experienced and lived with basic human freedoms.

Charlie Chaplin's "Great Dictator Speech" still resounds loudly today.

"Dictators free themselves, but enslave others!"
