Come on! If the U.S. streets are so safe then why do you drive your kids to school if they could just walk? Why do you have a gun in your house, if you aren't scared? Why do you only feel safe in your suburbs, when you could live in the city, where you actually work? If it is so safe, why does your SUV-car look like a tank?

A good tourist guide book would warn you of the local dangers like crime hotspots or scammer methods. Be alert, stay safe!

How about you don't send military vessels to these islands in the first place? There will be no need for “emergency decision”. Same goes for Japan.

Posted in: TPP or not TPP See in context

Actually, the sign is wrong. It should read, "TTP will make Japan part of the world!"

if you consider, that Americans always equate "the world" with "the U.S." you are right.

With the TPP Japan will become part of "the world".

No sane person would allow American financial institutions to make buisiness in their country after they caused the world-wide financial and eonomic crisis of 2008 - ongoing.

Only a Bloomberg columnist would put "deregulate the economy" first. Deregulation is no virtue by itself.

Also TEPCO is not incompetent. The decision to build any nuclear reactor in an earthquake-prone region like Japan is incompetent. Also "safer" energy sources are wind and solar power. Japan should just make more use of these homegrown natural resources.

These girls and women try to use their position to raise money for the Tohoku region ($ 240 mil. so far) and hold free concerts. And what have you people done, who constantly criticise AKB48 for their efforts? Tell me what did you do exactly for disaster vidtims?

Also AKB48, SKE48, NMB48, HKT48 provides these girls and women with a chance to make it big in life, and what chance did you offer to young people? Well?

People who never did anything for others will never like nor understand AKB48.

It should be obvious after the Fukushima nuclear desaster, but spend it on Solar Panels and Wind Parks. And while you're at it, put your electric cables underground and install nationwide heating.

The most damage did those government organised mobs on the streets of Chineses cities hunting down japanese people and property. Imagine you're a tourist in China and the Chinese gov't decides it doesn't agree with your gov't and sends out hunting parties after you.
