I am not confident enough to know what to do with my mouth, now that everyone can see my mouth. Maybe looks weird just keeping my mouth open or move my lips around like no one can see it ... Like moving my mask with lips and chin

Well...

Pregnancy not covered by health insurance.

Birth not covered by health insurance. (A little congrats money tho)

Child money is a joke and gets lower (from 15k to 10k yen a month) after the child gets 3 years old. And when it out of elementary school it's 0yen.

That's when the school etc getting more and more expensive. (Monthly fee and uniforms, clubs etc)

Sorry 2 kids is my limit and I am not sure if I stay here in Japan with them ;)

The nationwide figure was 695, down two from Thursday.

The number of coronavirus-related deaths reported nationwide was 480.

Does this mean from 695 people with severe symptoms 480 died and then 478 new people with severe symptoms came in in one day. So the numbers are just "two down" ?

...coupons worth 100,000 yen for women who are pregnant or rearing babies.

It's a start... Better would be increasing the child care money permanently.

I heard a theory that she was taken and her shoes and socks were just placed there. In other news they said the shoes were found in the opposite direction from the park.

When the numbers were really high, I didn't know anyone near me who got Corona.

Recently there are so many corona infected people around me but the numbers are shrinking.

How is that possible. Guards down?

Most people don't get tested anymore. Maximum a antigen test and staying home if possible.

They are not in these numbers

Numbers in Hiroshima are not declining. Stable around 1200. Same as when the peak was in Tokyo.

Maybe the corona measures in Tokyo are better..

That's the result when little kids watch too much Tokyo revengers animes where 12-14 year old kids in biker gangs fight each other and stabbing others with knifes.

Posted in: Gov't panel proposes to scrap 100-day remarriage ban for women See in context

I personally had problem with that.

When the woman is divorced here doesn't mean that she lived with the husband till then.

My now wife was stuck in a marriage where the husband didn't want to sign the divorce documents for about 3 years.

She just got divorced by a lot of force after long struggle while she at this time got pregnant with our son.

If the timing had been worse my son would be her ex husbands son on paper.

Luckily we were able to marry after 100 days ....

Tell that mother's and father's of japanese children who can't enter Japan even they are married to japanese and have work in Japan.

Poor students mental health..... If their mental health is so fragile they shouldn't choose to study in Japan... Not the right place for a fragile mind

Getting more absurd when you think about a foreign resident who has home and family in Japan, paying a lot of taxes in Japan, but is not allowed to enter the country.

I wonder if there are legal ways to get taxes back that had been paid when not allowed to enter.

Sadly a few coworkers of mine are currently hospitalized with corona and they all are infected with the delta type here in Hiroshima.

For a while I believed it's only omikron around and the other mutations are gone, based on all the omikron news.

I hope you and your families stay healthy.

Possible reason for low numbers:

High vaccination rate.

In Germany it's said that the vaccine does give you a good protection to not transmit the virus in the first 2-3 month, but this protection disappears.

Another reason is that japanese people don't go often to the doctor... If there is just a low fever or headache (thanks to the vaccine) they just go to work = No testing.

Saw this information the other days too but I wanted to check it several times.
