"Silhouettes"? "Silhouettes"? That's not the x-ray vision fantasy I was sold when I was in middle school!

Nothing says, "Cashing in on my fame while I can" like marketing your own perfume. Does it smell like Paris Hilton, Shakira, or Hillary Duff? Seriously though, good for her. I hope she makes bank.

Because if one makes a table-tennis playing robot, make it an ominous, spider-like table-tennis playing robot. (So it plays table tennis, what's it actually made to do?)

Don't care. I'm some 40-something guy from Iowa. People don't care. Obviously some do. Taiji is beautiful. I visited. One of the few times I was sad I was some white guy--beach was off limits (at least to "others"). I support Taiji. --Me.

I like this. This is Japan: tradition and history mixed with liquor and recklessness.

I support Japan's option to attack other nations. My opinion predicates that Japan is prudent and reluctant to attack. My experience is that most Japanese are benevolent and coexistent. Some are harsh and brutal, which places doubt to my opinion. --Iowan

Posted in: 'Final Fantasy VII' remake officially announced See in context

Count me too a fan. In the years since, I've read accolades on how the plot was outstanding even when compared with great modern literature and film. I'm still left thinking, there was a plot? I thought I just had to go wack bad guys.

The U.S. requires this of teachers. The Praxis test measures competence in reading, writing, and math. When can we require politicians take this test?

"its nice but around it needs more towers and buildings." I agree. Something more (or more formal) for the recognition/remembrance of the Kobe earthquake would be appropriate.

Posted in: Abe state dinner features haiku, R&B - and chopsticks See in context

This bugs me! Why are chopsticks and haiku ALWAYS the first topic when we Americans mention Japan? "Today we're learning about Japan, so let's begin with eating utensils and poetry." Really? "Today we're learning about Canada, we'll start with forks."
