Remember Japan said US will force China to abandon it's ADIZ few day ago?

Well, now that Biden is in China, lets see how much truth there is to what Japan said.

Well, how come nothing came out of Biden to confirms what Japan said?

Apparently, you don't know what an AZID is, YuriOtani.

PRC can't claim airspace with its AZID. The airspace contained within AZID doesn't belong to China.

It is confusing to you because you, like many others here, doesn't fully understand the purpose and functionality of ADIZs. If you do then these so-called B-52 and Japanese fighter challenging China's ADIZ doesn't mean much at all.

China's ADIZ, just like other countries ADIZ, is here to stay.

Japan needs allies in Asia, and should start mending fences fast.

What fences are there for mending? To the Japanese government, Japan's actions were righteous during WW2. It courageously fought off the European countries in asia. As a matter of fact, Japan's government thinks it was the real victim because they got nuked.

All thanks to Shintaro Ishihara for waking China up and give their military a new sense of purpose.

That old fool still think China will just lay down and take all the punches from Japan like before.

Not anymore.

China have the will and power to protect itself now.

The US has a treaty agreement concerning the Senkakus. They have no agreement about the other situations you mention.

What is this written treaty agreement between US and Japan on Diaoyu island? Do you have any credible official links to it?

There have been few American politicians voicing support for Japan on this issue, because it is their way to dog Japan on to further their own interests on the region.

Divide and Conquer.

The US needs to move on this. This is crossing a line that goes nowhere good.

The US won't do/move anything on this, just like the US won't move on Dakdo, and Kuril Islands dispute. In the end, it is in the American's interest and benefit for these dispute to stay on and go on forever.

The truth is that all these mess wouldn't have happened if Ishihara and the Japanese Government didn't unilaterally nationalized those disputed islands.

But they did. Japan Pushed.

Best way to stop a bully is to punch them in the nose, that way they know not to mess with you.

And now, China is punching back.

OssanAmericaNov. 02, 2013 - 11:54PM JST Interesting that while some people believe the China and Russia are the best of buddies, Japan only holds 2+2 meetings >with it's close allies United States and Australia, both of which China sees as adversaries to it's intent to dominate the >South and East China Seas.

This is about Japan and Russia, which is still trying to sign a peace treaty after world war 2. You don't need to bring your sinophobia into this.

Japan can hold any 1+1, 2+2, and 3+3, meetings with anyone it likes.

Besides, your country, USA, holds bilateral defense meeting/exercise with Russia and China too.

OssanAmericaNov. 03, 2013 - 01:20AM JST Well in this world Japan holds 2+2 meetings with only the United States and Australia, both considered by China to be >adversaries. This article shouldn't exist if Sino-Russian relations were truly "excellent".

And in this world, China holds bilateral defense and other military meetings with your country, USA, and Russia and also with many other countries.

A forward and friendly relationship between Japan and Russia will benefit not only those two countries but also other Asian countries and the world as a whole.

Japan pushes and China shoves back.

Japan unilaterally changed the status quote of the Islands by nationalized them, China sends Coast Guard ships to disputes Japan's actions.

If Japan sends personnel to occupy those islands, China will react again. And that will probably send their own people onto the islands.

-10 ( +2 / -12 )

Posted in: 7 Chinese coast guard ships sail into disputed waters See in context

Which isn't hard to do since the islands are pretty much unguarded. Again. So what?

Really, there are many unguarded islands on the coast of China/South Korea/Russia , so lets see how easy it is for Japan to send CG to patrol around them.

Yes. Japan is already a signatory to Compulsory jurisdiction of the International Court of Justice. Your move China.

Well, why don't Japan take South Korea and/or Russia to ICJ then?

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Posted in: 7 Chinese coast guard ships sail into disputed waters See in context

Til it finishes what exactly? You mean like capturing the footage of the islands and broadcast to their state controlled media that brainwashes their citizens that they "have" control of the islands. (Which, they do. LOL)

To show that they are there and can be there if and when they wanted.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

Posted in: 7 Chinese coast guard ships sail into disputed waters See in context

No. The better question is, what is that they (China) are "patrolling"? The funny thing is that it's always the JCG that's chasing CCG away from the territorial waters. Don't you think this is odd when the islands are totally unoccupied by both nations yet it's Japan that's forcing the rules.

Ships are patrolling the water around it. The Chinese CG stays till it finishes what it meant to do and leaves when they wants to, it have nothing to do with the CCGs. Chinese CG ships have been patrolling aorund the islands range from hours to more than a day.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

Posted in: 7 Chinese coast guard ships sail into disputed waters See in context

CCG hasn't really "patrolled" these islands. They have, on time to time, encroached upon the territorial waters.

What, do you expect those ships to walk on the islands?

So you are saying China is willing let it's people die for these rocks? LOL. Go ahead and say hello to the US 7th Fleet.

I think China are willing to fight for its sovereign lands that it believes its theirs. As an American citizen, why do you think the US will fight and die for Japanese disputes of this island?

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

Posted in: 7 Chinese coast guard ships sail into disputed waters See in context

How is this possible when the JCG is harrassing them? We're not talking about the islands of South China Sea where China could just bully their way to deploy personnel on the islands with minimal resistance.

Well, JCG's harassment of CCG haven't stop CCG from routine patrolling to those islands. What will JCG do differently once Japan start to station personnel on the islands?

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

Posted in: 7 Chinese coast guard ships sail into disputed waters See in context

Of what? WWIII with China fighting the entire world? Probably the best thing that could happen to China and the only way to get rod of the one-party dictatorship.

Of China re-nationalized the islands, perhaps? Just because your government supports and have forces in Japan doesn't mean it, or the world, are will fight and die for Japan.

there is even a talk about stationing a personnel there so the days of these chicken $hit incursions by Chinese are numbered. The more incursion, the faster the implementation.

If Japan put personnel on the island, it won't stop China's regular and routine patrols to the islands at all. It will forces China to put forces on the island too.

Posted in: Assad says chemical weapons claims 'insult to common sense' See in context

Right now there are no definitive proofs who is behind the chemical attack other than that it have been used.

However, just like other criminal cases, just look which side have the motives and the most to gain by using such attack.

Before the use of this attack, the Syrian government was winning in this civil war(It have financial and military resources to keep going while the rebel does not). The government also knows that if they does any chemical attacks the western governments will use that as an excuse to invade. Also, before this chemical attack, the Syrian government allows UN inspectors into their country. From these points, we can see the Syrian government officially have nothing to gain but everything to lose from using chemical attacks.

Now, on the other hand, on the losing side, the rebels have everything to gain from such attack. The rebels were losing and with such attack, the western militaries will invade, turn the tide, help the rebels and most likely put them in power of the country. Now, thats a great motive to use such attack and everything to gain.

However, that doesn't mean the rebel used the chemical attack either. As other have stated, it could be a false flag attack from a foreign force.

The best course of action now, by the UN and/or other international group, is to find out exactly who is behind this chemical attack. Lets hope the US/UK doesn't rush into their invasion of Syria and create another Iraq/Afgh. which will result in much greater civilian deaths and destruction to the country.

Germany was able to come clean about their past and become a great leader in EU. Japan, not so much.

A Shame.

There was no such agreement. If there was, kindly provide the link so we can see it >and see who signed it. You cannot because there is no such agreement. Under international law the Senkaku Islands >belong to Japan. China's so-called "historical claims" mean exactly nothing in law. If they did half the world could claim >the other half.

You mean how Japan gave billions of dollars to both China and Korea to facilitate their economic growth? A fact that the >governments of both countries ignore?

One does not negate the other. Rich countries have always provided money to lesser developed countries for their development: string attached or not. These money provided by Japan sometimes requires China/South Korea to buy Japanese product and services. It is a win win for both Japan and the other two countries. However, these money doesn't whitewash the atrocities Imperial Japan have committed against China and South Korea.
