So much for the six-party nuclear disarmament talks. Boy-oh-boy, Bill's going to get a spankin' from Hillary when he gets home.

The secret prisons are now empty, Panetta said. The agency has taken no new prisoners since he became director in February, he said, and the agency is preparing to decommission the prisons permanently.

Save USD4M to guard empty prisons? This guy Panetta has a lot on the ball.

As usual, one has to read from the end of the article, backwards, for it to make any sense.

I'm starting to wonder if these news reports are from the pre-surge period. My sources in Iraq are enjoying ice cream. Lots of it.

I want them to get an education because they were duped into joining an idiotic war for all the wrong reasons,

How odd. Many state universities don't want recruiters anywhere on campus. Perhaps this is because military members get some real education in the real world. The professors, who have never had a real job, quake at this thought. Imagine the challenges to their Leftist pap.

“When it comes to Iraq, it appears that money is no object for President Bush,” said the chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee, Sen. Robert Byrd, D-W.Va. “Yet when it comes to important priorities here at home, he turns into Ebeneezer Scrooge.”

(cough)

Sen. Byrd sometimes claims that he is in favor of fiscal restraint. However, the senator currently has more than 30 public works named after him - seriously undermining his pleas for budget responsibility. http://www.cagw.org/site/PageServer?pagename=news_byrddroppings

How queer this is since 36 million Californians voted to keep marriage defined as a man and a woman. Activist judges overturned this as they know better. It doesn't matter what the public thinks or votes for.

Why can't 14-year-olds get married?

Posted in: Calif teen gives birth in shower, walks to hospital with baby attached by umbilical cord See in context

She walked in alone, where the hell was the guy who knocked her up? Someone, at that stage of her pregnancy, should have been with her at all times or at the very least had a method of communication.

Lots of unmarried, single women go to a sperm bank for artificial insemination so they can be a single mom. With role models like this, well, who needs a guy? A man, fish, bicycle, you know the old saw.

That aside, with all the "sex education" in U.S. schools (chuck the science and biology) how come this young woman doesn't know to tie off the umbilical cord? At least she brought the placenta to the hospital but that was by sheer dumb luck.

Animal fats/oils certified with maximum insoluble impurities of less than 0.15% in weight (bovine origin animal fats imported for animal consumption must also come from animals that passed FSIS inspection, and must not be derived from the head, distal ileum, spinal cord, or vertebral column of cattle of any age).

"Must not be derived"? Good luck.

Bovine semen is allowed without BSE certification as of 12/26/03 per MAFF instruction to Japan's ports.

Looks like it's a meat issue. (Take a look at your dog's chew.)

The U.S. military on Friday blamed al-Qaida in Iraq for a double suicide bombing that killed at least 35 people during a wedding procession through a crowd of people cheering the bride and groom in a town northeast of Baghdad.

There are a lot of Japanese-owned cattle ranches in Australia. (I see the light bulb over your head.) Zero defects in Aussie beef shipments to Japan is simply unfathomable. Add to this the fact that mistakes in various other meat shipments to Japan (e.g. assorted South American countries) just don't seem newsworthy.

A second light bulb, I see.
