The stereotyping in the reply section is amazingly horrible. As a Black American Man living here for a long time, I’m appalled with this article and with some of the remarks. I am aware that being a foreigner here is almost like being a Black man in America, but these remarks are very inflammatory. How can he really tell the type of English or what was really said to him. They came from behind, how could he tell who it was. There is a certain group that teaches their followers to speak English to confuse the victim and that’ll place the blame on foreigners. But comments actually stating”I know a certain group” etc. is horrible and racist. JT I am disappointed with you for printing this story and leaving the content as cryptic as you have. Foreign Men be careful this summer and sorry if this offends anyone, but BLACK MEN , mind your surroundings this summer, we’re headed down a slippery slope, especially with some of these comments.

Amazing!!.

As an American expat, had the situation been reversed, I'd have to do my time. Then get deported. He did the crime on Japanese streets then he should do Japanese time. The Embassy will not intervene when one of us gets in trouble, why should he get special treatment. Sick or not , I'd be put in jail and would have to spend my entire sentance in jail here, he should do the same. Funny how these things happen close to re-election bids.

THe reason being: it's a Black American invention and unfortunately ,America never wants to acknowledge that.

That cost is for lab techs, laboratories and supplies. It is not a consumers out of pocket cost. That cost may be $75.-$100. USD. This could be scary. What happens when you get a false negative or positive. People who feel they have nothing else to live for can do many extreme things. Even harm others. Just my opinion...v

I've driven in many parking lots here and children are always running around unattended. Mothers either on the phone or looking in mirrors. So sad that the little boy had to be the victim. I've also seen people driving through the lots as if they were on the highway and in a rush to go nowhere . It's best to creep along at 20 kph no matter who honks at you.
