Sugimoto isn't brave for wanting to go, he's just plain stupid. Legal or not, I don't think anyone here with half a brain cell would question the government's reasons for wanting to stop him . There is nothing nefarious going on.

"This girl could kill someone if left alone" mother dies, father peaces out and doesn't do shit, let's his crazy daughter live on her own as if she was some responsible model child.

YEPPP. The fathers role in this is as bad as the daughter's IMO. And yes I know how much that is saying.

@bass For one if your occupation is somehow involved with waterboarding or those who conduct it like you seem to be implying (otherwise what relevance would that comment have?) then I could imagine with that bias you'd be downplaying its harm to ease your psyche and reduce your sense of culpability. Otherwise, even if you just "know" about it I still sincerely doubt you've ever had the enemy do it to you to even begin to say how it feels!

@bass4funk people have gotten brain damage and even died from waterboarding. Don't talk about shit you know nothing about. I'd like to see you volunteer for that.

The kindest thing you could do for this child at this point is to put her down... It looks beyond repair to me, and even if it wasn't, how could you trust it wouldn't happen again?

After everything she's been through I don't think she "deserves" all the harsh things people are saying to do to her, moreso I believe that they are necessary to put a stop to this threat and end her endless misery.

All that for the way he closed a door? I would have offed myself as well.

Posted in: Do you support the restart of nuclear reactors in Japan? See in context

sure burning non-renewable resources slowly deteriorates our environment, but just 1 accident at a nuclear plant is permanent damage of the most extreme and wreaks havoc world-wide, aside from rendering a large region permanently uninhabitable. Therefore I support the use of non-renewable resource in the meantime while we focus on increasing wind-turbines, increasing hydro technology and the availability of other renewable resources.

Although the sentence is fine to me (Japanese prisons are harsh), this man should not be allowed to teach again. I don't know why they would let him come back with that "nurturing" attitude.
