Posted in: Kishida says Japan will ease COVID border controls from Oct 11 See in context

The airports will descend into chaos. The system they have in place at the airport to check all this vaccine or test nonsense will not hold up.

Posted in: Japan weighs plan for ban on hotel guests without masks: report See in context

Pandering to the overly-delicate Japanese so worried about foreign travellers. Gosh, move on for crying out loud. This Covid thing is over. If you really don't want non-domestic tourism then just keep the stupid entry restrictions and nobody will come.

That's quite a household.

Lots of empty seats.

Posted in: Japanese man sets himself on fire in apparent protest at Abe's state funeral See in context

Not sure this is a worthwhile form of protest. It is fine to strongly oppose the funeral, however once it is done nobody will even care. It would have been better to stand with a sign that says "I strongly oppose Abe's funeral". Maybe, shout it out a bit. That would have been better, I believe. I strongly oppose this manner of using fire.

In some years that Westminster Abbey will be quite a place for "archaeologists" to explore.

I found that Nagoya has some very wonderful things. I suppose some liberal elitists may find it too gauche.

He should have taken the vaccine. So stubborn. Now look at the situation. He has fallen short.

Posted in: Japan set to waive some visa requirements in October to boost tourism: Nikkei See in context

The demand for 3 "vaccine" shots is still in place. This will deter most people from going to Japan.

Nuclear power will solve this problem.

Posted in: Japan to roll out Omicron booster shots free of charge from Tuesday See in context

I'm not one for taking unnecessary medicine. I am shocked that so many people decide to shame others for what should be a choice. I guess that is the current state of affairs. Mindless followers.

Posted in: Japan OKs distribution of Omicron booster shots from this month See in context

So dogmatic about the need for 3 shots. No, it is not effective. I will not follow.

0 shots seem safest way to go.

But why hire a 31 year old male baby sitter? Yikes, that sounds creepy.

Posted in: Japan protests to Russia over military exercises with China See in context

60% chance of war with China over Taiwan. It would be bad if Russia joined them. I guess we should be happy about America's huge new naval base in Australia.

These things happen, but I wonder if this negligence was due to racism.

Posted in: Gorbachev buried in Moscow in funeral snubbed by Putin See in context

Gorbachev lost. Russia was looted and descended into chaos. Putin fought back and won. Why would he not snub Gorbachev? Putin does not care what you think about him.

Someone please tell the ministry that being fully vaccinated does not prevent infection. I would have though they knew that by now.

Posted in: Japan to scrap pre-entry COVID test for triple-vaccinated travelers; cap on entrants remains See in context

Where is the logic that the test is not necessary only for triple vaccinated people. It has no logical or scientific basis. Just dogmatic fixation on following the herd.

Posted in: 72% of survey respondents say border controls reason for not visiting Japan See in context

You had to do a survey to know that? It cost hundreds of dollars to get this useless test before coming to Japan. Insultingly pointless. Covid is worse now in Japan since the mass vaccinations, seemingly more deadly, yet the response is "come on parents, get the little ones vaccinated". This is not a failure of leadership; there is no leadership.

Posted in: Japan marks 77th anniversary of end of World War II See in context

I feel something is very very wrong when the purpose of the memorial specifically omits to mourn all the military and civilians that were killed in your war, and only to include your Japanese military and civilians. It stings. You are not really against war, you're against losing. "Proactive Contribution to Peace" my %s#.

Kishida-san is the only one who can win this election. He knows how to win. His career is about winning. Then, the economy will grow from the Kishida spirited economy. We can expect a better time in the willows. It is our time for Kishida. Do not vote unlike him.
