That's why it's so difficult to defeat them, as the former Soviet Union found out.

theyre not that hard to defeat, its just that developed nations do not stoop to their level just to win.

i would have asked a few questions if i was able to speak to these protesters.

if the US military left, would u volunteer your or your kids services in your country's self defense force?

why are you protesting? if answer is "carrier have fire, kowaii!!" then the next question would be "how much do you know about about japan's nuclear program?"

I don't really support American bases in Japan either, but those bombs are left over from WWII, not from the post-war period.

why even bother repeating whats in the original article, the obvious some people either dont know how to dread or look for any reason justify their opinion on the us military here in japan. as if removing the US military would let all these 60 year old bombs magically disappear. i really do hope the US military will one say leave japan for good so theyll have to spend trillions of yen on the build up of their own military. lets see japan try to talk to nKorea then..

anyway, still a sad story. glad no one was hurt.

I'm not worried about Iran at all. I'm more scared of "Trigger Happy Thugs in the US, England and Isreal. < :-)

im assuming the smiley face at the end meant you were joking but if not then you seem to be missing the point. the US and europe arent worried about iran having plants, theyre worried about the future threats and the technology getting in the wrong hands. Also who knows what would happen if some enemies of the US england or israel dropped enough money on the table to acquire a bomb from iran in the near, you think they would refuse?

there is a slight different between running a train or gang bang on a female and gang rape. the guy did not get charged for rape, he even got charged for being out late of all things but certainly not rape, does that not tell you something? if there was solid proof that this guy had raped the female then he would have been awarded a longer sentence.

thundercat, you sound like loosechange on 9/11. maybe no one here has the inside track but at the same time you cannot prove that the crime was actually committed either. youre just going off what you heard or read. maybe youre typing from another planet but on earth, females sometimes really do call rape even after they willingly give it up.

betting, pretty much. slavery on a wider scale is done so the powers have no reason to get involved. denounce denounce denounce but getting involved with another country's affairs is the last thing the US needs right now.

Posted in: FBI busts child prostitution ring; 345 arrested See in context

A University of Pennsylvania study estimates nearly 300,000 children in the United States are at risk of being sexually exploited for commercial uses

KEY WORD HERE = ESTIMATES, NEARLY, AT RISK, COMMERCIAL USE. any child could be "at risk." the FBI rescued 400 children over a period of 5 years so either someone is not doing their job or someone really knows how to use words to give people like rjd the wow factor lol.

i just got done conducting my study in japan and estimate that every child is somehow possibly maybe in the event in case at risk at some second in their lifetime. president tokyohama said its most girls looking to buy a LV and prada accessories

“most of them runaways or thrown-aways,” said Ernie Allen, president of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

geez president Allen, could have never guessed. i thought they were well off kids from the suberbs bored with life.

"XXX denounces YYY" seems to show up a lot in the news lately. but yea bush, just sit there and denounce. when you let the whole world denounce your own country, you're the last person to denounce or have an intelligent say about anything.

rjd you never cease to amaze me. a service member gets 3 years? for petty robbery and you write about 15 lines of text explaining how damaging the blow to the head could have been and what not somehow trying to say he guy should have gotta the full 5 years. look at the charges in this case "conspiracy to engage in indecent acts, sodomy, violating liberty and alcohol orders and fraternization" those are pretty much BS teach you a lesson charges based on military conduct and regs. the military dish these out all the time when theyre trying to get you for whatever reason.

like someone said, show a case where a japanese national was given a lighter sentence for "conspiracy to engage in indecent acts, sodomy, violating liberty and alcohol orders and fraternization" oh thats right, these charges could be thrown out a regular court without hesitation.

hey guy, who's playing this card time and time again? if anything the media is shoving this down everyone's throat or "informing the public." if majority of black people really cared about this then i think imus would need body guards. yes what he said was an offensive remark but is he racist, who knows. there is a difference between being racist and saying something racially offensive. how racist can black people be??????????

skipthesong, the audio clip is even worse than the reports in the news. he pretty much played dumb as if he didnt know who the race of the person in question then proceed to ask "what color is he," funny how the other guy trying to cover is arse replies with "he's african american." sure the majority like him will defend this guy with the whole amendment free speech crap as if thats what they had in mind when they it was created. he sure knows which tree to bark up though, he knows well that he'll get nothing more than a fired up al sharpton and more exposure for his show.
