to take the attention away from the damage the patriarchy has done.
If you think we live in a male dominated society then why this supposed patriarchy is made of only a tiny percent of all men?
Both men and women are getting screwed in it, if anything, but a great number of feminists claim women are more, which is arguable. Instead of building walls, perhaps let's collaborate?

I'd like to point out that whenever there have been conversations about the supposed gender differences between men and women, men have always held themselves up as the standard by which to judge.
I would say that a large portion of feminists women hold other women to that standard. Example, bashing them for choosing to be a full time mother instead of pursuing a career etc.

Was it really that sexist what Mori said?
Women on average do speak 13,000 more words than men. It's a scientific fact.

The bubble gonna pop anytime soon. Mid 2021?

Mori was involved in the Olympics since early 2000s, while perhaps a bit of a gaffer, he is the right person to be posting this post. A lot of people said that on the telly today.
Instead, it's a good chance to use this opportunity to change a few things in Japan when it comes to treatment of women, and by demanding him to resign constantly is not a good way of doing it.

Yet car theft is increasing, especially for Lexus cars, as per this mornings TV news.

Also, all those titles of the articles... Very clickbeity... Tabloid like.
But then again everybody does it...

"We have about seven women at the organizing committee but everyone understands their place."
"We have about seven women on our (Olympic) committee," Mori said. "They are experienced in international arenas. That's why their talk is sophisticated, gets to the point, and they are very useful."
Me: somebody is crossing the line with free translation.

COVID-19 patients resisting hospitalization can be fined up to 500,000 yen ($4,760) and those who fail to participate in epidemiological surveys by health authorities, up to 300,000 yen.
How about if I want to be hospitalized but can't? The government should pay at least the same for the trouble. If I die then I expect them to cover the cost of my funeral too, at the very least.
About the surveys. Does it include street ones too?

I will hold on for a bit longer but will the politicians do? Or the local hostess club scent will still be too irresistible and theyd still be forced to frequent them from time to time?

Usually, I don't really like anything that has the word Buzz in its' title, (Buzzfeed) but this show I will give a go.
But then again, Buzzfeed is the one promoting it the most... therefore I am still skeptical.

I wish they introduced penalties for certain politicians who visited Ginza hostess club during SOE.
But I guess a bow and an apology would have to be sufficient, as per usual.

Little on this news on the Japanese TV news. A brief mention only.
I guess their pride was hurt. Ask of they don't want to be reminded that "Even" South Korea is doing better of a job...

Overpriced Tower mansions and the growing number of abandoned houses is not a good sign...
I don't really get why would one like to pay an overpriced tag for something that would loose 20 percent of its value the second you turn the key and enter genkan...
Renovation of existing homes is a better option.

Do any of the first commenters even read the article or they just post random crap just to be first ? It says there won't be any 100k handouts anymore for the general public....

Does the virtual one have like a placebo effect and could keep one from getting the corona? If so I'm where should I line up at Kawasaki?

So the vacine is like 90 percent sure to keep you away from getting it?
I'll have three rounds to be 270 percent sure.

People can't be admitted to the hospitals even if they want to, yet the government introduces a penalty system for those unwilling to be hospitalized when they get the coronavirus...
I suggest making a subsidy of a few million yen for those who want to be hospitalized but cannot be due to lack of space, just to make it fair, you know?

On top of blaming reckless and too tight driving of a great number of drivers in Japan, (be it professional or not) the preference of white coloured cars by the Japanese is also not of any aid in the mids of snowy winter.
Not to mention that most of them probably did not even swtich on their lights going in that whiteout phenomenon.
Tragic but expected.

No you do not have to pay the 35% that was discounted!
My trip to the beach is still on at the same price, confirmed today.
Do you read Japanese?
Once you go to the hotel or other attraction they will ask you to pay the remaining discounted price!!
0 ( +0 / -0 )
I don’t think you have to pay the 35% discounted price on arrival. The deals that have already been done are done.
You do. Look it up. And no voucher of 27,000 JPY I was supposed to get upon my arrival in Hokkaido.

People will travel anyway, with the campaign or without.
Never underestimate the power of conformity in Japan.
A landsline of cancellations has already begun and it's just the second day after announcing.
9 ( +11 / -2 )
Most people will not cancel what they already booked and will go anyway.
Theyd have to pay the discounted 35 percent upon arrival at the hotel etc. though... So I think a lot of them will cancel it. Also not receiving vouchers sometimes worth in ten of thousands of yen at the destination hotel will bring the number of cancellations even more up.

I was supposed to go to Hokkaido.
Pay back my 12man, Suga-san! Or else!

I kind of doubt that these kind of establishments really pay all the taxes they are due...
If a given establishments does indeed pay them and operate as they are supposed to, for example no penetration allowed, as per law, then yes, they deserve to be on the dole.
If not, then they do not.
Case by case basisだね。

What if women are not interested in politics as much as men are?
Do we have to force them to run for political offices in the name of equality so that there is 50 percent of them there?
