As of today, Japan is the largest foreign direct investor in China, they are in it for the market rather than the cheap labor. China is the largest market for Japanese exports, while Japan is the fourth-largest market for Chinese exports.

“The-actual–control-of-islands” is apparently not good enough for Japan, China now will regularly send the marine surveillance ships to the disputed islands, this will come back bite Japan in the butt, to call this playing with fire would be an absurd understatement
