What really helped me (despite my years of study) was using the google translation app where you take a photo and it instantly translates it as you look at it through the phone, it was so helpful and amazing.

Oh, too bad. He’s already faced “justice”. A slap on the wrist.

I request Japan authorities to detain him, extradite and render him to US military authorities for court martial.

When my dad was 93 they renewed his NY State drivers license for another five year term. He had it just a couple weeks past his 94th birthday and literally drove himself to the local hospital a 20 min ride away, where he passed not too long thereafter. He’d have been 100 this year. Glad he never had his freedom taken away from him.

Tough.

Abandon the cruel tyrannical Communist Party of China, hold free multiparty elections, and apologize for the sins of the former CPC controlled regime.

That'll win my respect.

Aside from the "haters" who say that someone like me, who voted for DJT via absentee ballot from Kyoto, are members of some sort of 50 million member "sect", I am pleased to hear that the stylishness as well as cache of Ivanka's clothing line - has an increase in popularity judged by these recent sales in Japan.

The hateful bitter losers of the US elections can take their delicate offence stick it... on the top shelf somewhere.

Republicans and millions of ordinary folks who have been sick of corruption by the ever expanding self-entitled nanny staters who believed they were destined to control my life forever - we won.

Those who vehemently and salaciously attack DJT, lost.

Gone from official power. Exposed and denied.

Now, lets all go out and check out that Ivanka line of clothing and see what all the chatter is about, decide for yourself. Would you look good in an Ivanka dress?

I dont recommend it for DJT haters: the steam of dark mascara in your salty tears, and bizarrly applied lipstick due to your angry shaking, would ruin the good dress.

It might tarnish the image, the brand. And we wouldnt want that, no sir. What's their website? Ivankatrumo dot com?

I guess they will be a bit concerned about the purges and political-war crime trials, after the Communist Party of China is overthrown. The clock is ticking. The final day and hour of the tyrant is set, marked, unknown but certain.

Posted in: Packed Japan-U.S. agenda for Trump's meeting with Abe See in context

I agree that the article reads more like an editorial. Writing from here in Kyoto, I am quite aware of the trepidation of official Japan. But as someone who continues to be involved in the political side, having worked actively on behalf of Pres Reagan some 35 years ago in various capacities, and having voted for DJT via absentee ballot, I truly believe that the solid relationship between our two nations will grow much stronger, in a much more thoughtful and nature way. From my work in my home base of NYC I came to know some key people in DJT's campaign; and going forward, I think that there will be a rebalancing of responsibilities between our militaries. Japan can and should stand tall, while knowing that on all the most important security matters, maritime issues and self protection, the United States will always have Japans back. Its not a top down relationship. Its one of mature brothers and sisters. Realize that. While the perception that TPP has been just one more entangled multilateral mess that the US needs no part of, fair and sound business agreements one to one, will gain traction. I do thin it is the false assumption by the PRC that their relationship will be "business as usual" is delusional. The Japan-US Partnership will grow even stronger. Two democracies, two real friends. The doubts will vanish like last months campaign battles, to dust will settle and the sun will rise, and shine. There is much reason for optimism. Truth.

A few unfortunate remarks here (probably not from a US citizen). I wish them both the best of luck and trust that there will be an excellent relationship.

Long live US-Japan Friendship, Respect, Freedom, Security and Mutual Success!

I voted for DJT from here in Kyoto, and worked for President Reagan 35 years ago. I have also prayed at Yasukuni shrine.

Not interested in vitriol. Only good and positive intentions, true leadership. Thank you, Abe-san for visiting NY and the President-elect.

Let MOFA bureaucrats provide Duterte some gum, a manga magazine and a book on etiquette. Otherwise it will certainly end badly, so why add a single ounce of stress to the emminently respected Emperors twilight years? No benefit at all.
