It could have been the woman who killed the man first and then herself. I think people are to easy to always blame the man first.

World War Z.

Pretty good movie...

If a bunch of zombies can scale a wall built by the Israelis, I don't hold much for a wall built by Trump.

Interesting word 'subdued'. In Australia you get pepper sprayed and or tasered, both non lethal methods to incapacitate someone temporarily. In America you just get shot dead and sometimes in the back. A long stick in Japan seems a bit odd. May be its a Kendo thing..

I'd just stand in the middle of the intersection outside Shibuya Station and shout at the top of my voice "I want to marry you" and just point at some random woman.

No mention of sex!! I find this very odd. If I got married I would want at least 3 times a day.

Posted in: Japan latest battleground in Airbnb home-sharing war See in context

I have been an AirBNB host here in Surfers Paradise Australia for about 2 years. Here to there are similar concerns. BUT.

I do not accept auto booking on the site, I read the guests profile page and their reviews. I also look to see if they have a facebook or social media account and work out if they are going to be respectful to my neighbors and not cause any noise or other problems. So far I have nnot had an issuu with any guest.

I think AirBNB is a great system, I have met some amazing, talented and brilliant people from all over the world. I think people need to get used to it because it is not going away. With anything new people need time to adjust and if they can not then it is their problem and they should just but out.

Every country on the planet has comitted war atrocities at some point or another and they still continue today. It is a sad legacy of human nature to murder each other. People should stop focusing on blame and start accepting responsibility.

Posted in: Obama blames gun lobby grip on Congress for lax U.S. gun laws See in context

As the worlds most powerful man (supposedly), Obama needs to make an executive order to get rid of the NRA once and for all and setup a gun buy back program, anyone in possession of weapons after this should get automatic 10 years jail minimum. the only people who need weapons are the military and the police.

Posted in: Cost-conscious males make for stingy relationships See in context

Seems to me these guys are trying to retaliate against women for not wanting serious relationships. All I see lately are gold digging girls sucking the life out of men and moving on to the next victim until they end up lonely old women, I've been searching all my life to find a real relationship but it just never happens, I've been single 7 years not a single date in all this time and I hate living like this, (no money no honey) it is a sad fact if you're not rich or drive a flashy car you may as well commit suicide, what is the point in living, half the population is female, we all should be able to find a partner in life but I just give up it's a stupid game but female affection is essential and vital to happiness in life otherwise you may as-well just be in prison or go and curl up under a tree and die.

Posted in: 15-year-old boy turns himself in after killing mother, grandmother See in context

This was just an Evil Kid on a pathway to parricide, seems it was inevitable. This Kid needs a prolonged psychiatric hospitalisation followed up with a lengthy prison sentence.

At 15 one should know you don't go around killing people just because someone humiliated or shamed you. I doubt this kid will feel any sense of guilt or responsibility and he should be tried as an adult.

The system will more than likely offer self-defense based on child abuse and will probably get released back into the community after serving a stint in a psychiatric hospital.

What a ridiculous sentence for a disgusting abhorrent murder. So what if he is only 19, any other country he would be tried as an adult and given life. Someone needs to appeal this sentence and retry this little shit as an adult.

Posted in: Boss arrested for assaulting employee with a stun gun for being late See in context

I see this kind of this happen in gold coast australia, japanese restaurants, my flat mate a japanese girl working as a waitress, her boss regularly yells and pushes her around every week, putting her down, telling her she is useless and should just quit and go home. she was sitting on my kitchen floor one night crying telling me she wanted to quit, but that she liked her job, i told her she does not have to put up with this kind of abuse, I asked her did none of your co-workers step in to help you,,, no!!! she said, they just kept quiet and look at the floor. seems this sort of thing is just accepted in japanese society where a boss can just abuse his staff because he knows they will be shamed for quitting.

Posted in: Japanese firm behind Ebola drug says tests offer hope See in context

There are no drugs on the market to treat Ebola...

There have been a number of cases where patients from western countries (doctors/nurses) have been cured, so now why not just use their blood which contains antibodies able to fight the virus to create plasma that can be used to cure other patients.

Posted in: 2,100 people sue Asahi Shimbun over 'comfort women' stories See in context

I think the Japanese government needs to make a public admission of guilt and apology for the trauma, loss and separation caused by their predecessors policies and practices of forcible removal of these women. An official apology and govt acknowledgement would have enormous significance for the women and families involved.
